I'll tell ya this... I have the halide blue in 1k...very pricey. I'm running a cheaper hps bulb right now, have been for about 5 solid months of 12/12. The brand name is EIKO. Its been a damn good bulb. Normally like $50-60usd but i got mine for $20 cause it was a lightly used store tester. I did a lumens test on it a about a month ago and it registered 90k from 15 inches. Can't complain with those numbers.
Yes yes, some will talk about the spectrum, I have no doubt the hortilux is better... hell i paid almost 2bills for their 1K blue. Infact, when it comes time to replace this EIKO, I will treat myself to a Hortilux hps. If anything, as a comparison between the two.
I guess I typed all this to tell ya one doesnt always have to spend big bucks to get results. Ive got 7 or 8 grows on this $20 bulb and that type of shit fires me up.

Man I have used sunmaster bulbs for HPS, and I had lots of problems with them. First 2 cracked. Secondly I noticed that while they advertised greater lumens than Hortilux, this is not true. The cheap light meter registered the Hortilux brighter. Lastly On a few grows, the buds are always more dense and larger with the hortilux. I'm going to replace my last 2 bulbs today.

Well, i was reading the posts and went and looked online at the bulbs. The Hortilux says its 143k lumens and the solarmx is 147k lumens.... then i saw the sunmaster
