Alas... I haven't grown a sunflower this year! What's wrong with me!!!

my front yard in the city has a row all along the front...well my ex bitches front yard now....I started with seeds from birdseed and each year picked a few of the tallest and biggest heads for the next... did it for quite a few years.....people really liked it and the birds/bees loved it..it attracted a few kinds of birds I had never seen around before..might have old pics somewhere in my collection...they made a good sort of privacy fence if planted continuously and densely...
