Cheesy eggs, fried potatoes,Bacon, toast and coffee. Its the one day a week,we all sit for a meal.Growing up,it was always Sunday dinner,as an adult it turned to breakfast.
Do you guys have a special meal deal like Im talkin?I think its good for a family unit to turn the tube off and sit for a meal.Ya dont have to dress(pj's plz)and ya really dont have to say much.It just feels good sitting with your loved ones and enjoying a meal together.I like the simple things......and Sunday breakfast, how bout you guy's?
LOL,just realized Sunday is also the only day I eat a breakfast!!:woohoo:

Breakfast would be great, but it never happens in MPDland - you have to make your own. I used to be a big breakfast person but now I may have a piece of fruit or something like that, maybe some cereal. I think I would like to move in with Big D....

It could work. Big D does the animals while I wear my french maid's outfit and fishnet stockings... Wait, that was last night's nightmare that ended with...

LET GO MY EGGO!

LOL... :p

Belgian waffles with bananas foster topping....homefries for my man and GRITS for me....

Denver omelettes sometimes....or Texas omelette topped with chili...cheese and jalapenos....Hubs WON' T touch it though....

and Eggs Benedict if I am ambitious enough....but I ain't good at poaching eggs for some reason. But I make a great Hollandaise sauce to top it....

But the BEST BREAKFAST BRUNCHES in the world are found in New Orleans each Sunday....I would drive all the way from Houston for them back in the day! Live Jazz....SWEEEEEET!

And GRAVY.....CAN'T BE southern and not like Biskits and sausage gravy. Red Eye gravy is right good also.....

GRITS with bacon and cheese....YUMMY....southern cuisine...And PAULA DEAN has now made it famous on Food Channel......but her restaurant in Savanna has a 3 hour wait for lunch and dinner so go to her brothers place as it is better.

Grits-a-yaya for me please!

If you aint from the south, you might not know what that is.

We use smoked gouda cheese in the grits, surrounded by shrimp and a biscuit on top.

Or maybe just fish and cheese grits. Simple and delicious. Use the fish as a spoon to scoop the grits with. Mmmmm!

Toss a little apple butter on them biscuits.

Corn pone anybody?

I just threw down on some french toast and biscuit w/ sausage gravy!

one thing that I HAVE learned in life... if you want kids to eat what you make, make french toast.
