I was wondering if anyone has experimented with these lights. They claim to be made for digital or electronic ballast and have i believe to have 6 different variations spectrum with different kelvins.

I used the 3 k i belive ,witch ever one is dedicated for "most of flowering" , burns a turquoise color thats supposed to be better if you add those uv bulbs at the very end of flowering , the 3 k did flower out plants ok i used a singe 600 watt on a 4 x 4 table and got enough herb to last untill i can pull a crop in a few months off an eye bulb , and yea if you ask me i say just use hortilux bulbs and replace them often.

I was wondering about those too, I run the quantum ballast and the Sun Pulse lamps are supposed to take better advantage of the rapid switching of current that the electronic ballast produces. According to Sun Pulse, the rapid switching of an electronic ballast will eventually destroy and regular HPS or MH lamp prematurely. Im not sure I believe this, but I am interested in optimizing the grow by matching lamp and ballast. Also the UV "death ray" lamp you are supposed to use at the end of the grow really does make sense. Plants produce resin to shield themselves from UV and if you increase the UV exposure, it only makes sense that the plants will produce resin.

Of course the whole thing could be a marketing ploy to sell 4 lamps in place of the normal one.

just topping this thread to check and see if anyone has run these bulbs

i was thinking of trying out the death ray bulb for the last week after an HPS flowering period. to see if its a gimmick or not
