Sulfer is mainly used as a fungicide.
It raises the PH of the surface it lands on, so insect eggs have
a hard time hatching, softens the shell or some such thing.
I used Sulfer for Fungus and Worked over night, probably helped with mites too.
I heard sulphur burners work well to kill everything in the room....I haven't tried it yet, but the hydro stores around here are recommending it...$150 though.....So you can see why they are pushing them. I have had the best results with Safer's End-All...kills eggs and mites effectively.
i believe it's best used in dust form or mixed into water and used as a foliar for mites
but wouldn't isopropyl alchohol be so much easier? 70% does not harm anything and kills EVERYTHING on contact, then it evaporates off so it's just a treatment, a control, not a preventative. Use it to treat a visible colony then use something like this for remaing larvae and the ones that ducked the iso misting.
LOL when i heard you guys say "burner" and "mites" in the same sentence i couldnt help but think of the time i was at my buddies place and he took a spray bottle of 91% iso and a lighter in his hand hehehe went over to the plant and threw flames at the mites it was a trip...
Wasn' t that what Samuel L. Jackson said in Pulp Fiction about AK- 47's? "When you absolutely, positively have to kill every, last motherf***er in the room, accept no substitutes".
I have no idea about what these sulphur burners are, but sulphur is really poisonous shit. I wouldn' t be burning any sulphur in my house and I' d be a bit dubious about smoking anything that' s been exposed to sulphur
