I have a sealed room, and I burn sulphur for 4 hours, once a week, during the dark period. Works like a charm to control powdery mildew on strains that get it.

Make sure your room is really sealed--you'll know if it is when you burn the sulfur, any leaks and you will smell it--much more potent than even the dankest herb.

I use it up to 14 days before harvest. Good luck.

make sure all the fans are off when it burns--it needs to sort of sit within the plants for the 4 hours. since my room is sealed, the AC stays on, but the circ fans are off.

finally someone else with a sealed room! im am discovering new pitfalls everyday, but the plants are just lovin' it. very obvious difference in growth patterns since i sealed my room.
do you somehow exhaust the sulfer after the 4 hours? i set up a fan to exhaust it, and then i will take the fan out and reseal.
but up to 2 weeks before harvie? everyone seems to think we shouldnt burn sulfer after the first two weeks of 12/12. your herb doesnt taste sulfery?

...and also heard that you do want the circulation on, but not exhaust. The logic was to spread the vaporized sulfur to all surfaces instead of just the ones near the burner.

Quick story. I made the DIY burner and dropped a 40 watt bulb for the heat source. That one worked great, but I thought I could do better, so I put in a 75 watt and let it rip in my greenhouse. Well, I went out the next morning to find white sulfur burns on a lot of the leaves. Made the plants look like total shit, but they recovered OK. The moral of the story is to check out the temperatures of your burner surface before leaving it unattended with your girls.

I'm also interested if you get any sulfur taste using it so late into flowering, though....

i burned yesterday for 4 hours, the sulfer turned to liquid, but it didnt seem to vapourize, the room hardly smelled of sulfer... did it work right?

The ideal temperature (according to this site) is 140° C or ~284° F. What I did was to put a candy thermometer (that could handle those high temps, but I think an oven thermometer would work just as well) in the bottom of my burner and watched it to see how hot it got once it fully warmed up. When I had matched the wattage I needed to the temperature, I put in sulfur and let it go. What kind of burner are you using?

the sulfur doesn't get exhausted directly. It settles down on surfaces (ie leaves) when the fans are off, so it isn't really suspended in the air once done settling. When i go in the next day, it does smell but not so bad (esp compared to when i opened the door to make sure it was running-peeyew!) and after 1-2 days there is no hint of smell. I was told it doesn't effect the taste at all, and squeezing my buds doesn't smell sulfury in any way.

I would stop earlier in flower if i could, but the PM just adores my MK Ultras. Before, I had to serenade to hell every few days and that really sucks, it's a lot of work and it really stinks. Sulfur is so much easier and more thorough.

open the door 1 hour into the sulfur burn. You should gag instantly. If not, it isn't working correctly. A brand new one ia $129, might be worth it for piece of mind. I found it cheap for what it does for me, but you can probably make one for $10.

Some of the cheap ones on Amazon are not getting hot enough, had a friend buy the $70 "commercial grade" one, and it did not work for crap. Either buy a good one, you will pay around $120, or build your own, just make sure your temps are correct. You want around 140C, not hot enough, it will just melt, not vaporize, too hot it will burn it, and your plants will get too much, and likely burn themselves.
