Suggestions on forcing flower outdoors?

Hi all, This is my problem: I'm growing two plants that are about 9 weeks in veg outdoors in my back yard. I unfortunately have garden lamps that my parents put so i was wondering, when flowering time comes the plants will be affected by the garden lamps (that turn on at night) and probably stop the flowering cycle. Can any of you suggest the best way to cover the plants in some way so they get 12/12 and force to flower? Unfortunately I can't turn them off for the whole flow cycle and cant do guerilla. Thanks! this is my first post!

Unless you want to put up a tent and cover them with black plastic, there's not much you can do.

questions: how much light are the lamps in terms of wattage? How far away are the lamps? Do they shine directly on the plants? A full moon doesn't stop plants from flowering and that is quite a bit of light.

Maybe do nothing and see what happens, or put something in between the lights and your plants such as a laundry line and some blankets to shade the plants from the light.

agreed, a tent is the best idea or lean-to but then airflow and prevailing winds would become factors..

what are those lights growing?

Woah thanks u guys for the reply!

I'm not sure of the wattage, I know they are LED's bright white.

they're pretty close to the plants.. around 3 - 4 meters max.

A tent that partially covers the plant and doesnt sit on it might be the best way.. just not sure how much light they can handle during flow at night :S

Guess I'll see how it goes ;)

pretty sure someone somewhere is using light deprav fabric that is breathable enough for outdoor plants.....
start there if anywhere if you want to force flowering early either get some large black garbage bag and cover them when u want to induce flowering for about 1-2 hrs then take it off repeat process but this is not ideal!!

start with breathable cannabis blackout fabrics... if all else fail grow outdoor and save enough for a light deprav greenhouse mate then u can grow gro grow and force flower all u want

Yeah if I had the money I'd definately buy a light proof greenhouse, Do u think breathable blackout fabrics even exist? I could create a tent with those... hmm

Yes they do indeed exist! That sounds like a good plan and a fine place to start. im sure u will figure it out! All u need to do is Put in the work!! Blackout fabric is not cheap from what I've seen.

Depends on how large your plant or plants are. Have a friend in S. TX that covers with largest plastic garbage container (I think 40 gallon, maybe more) over the top of them then lifts off at day break. He has a few halogen bulb street lights that he's thinking my dink with it.

Pretty much what u need to do is worry about supplying O2 (oxygen to your plants and adequate airflow when u decide to black then out. It's easy to black out cannabis but it isn't easy supplying oxygen to it. Either garbage bag em, blackout-outdoors with sheet , tents etc but they will require sufficient airflow if u use thes methods. Or blackout greenhouse. Those are your options.

A big container might be an idea, although I think It's pretty hard to supply air flow. how did ur friend handle that?

Well in my experiance a led at 3-4 meters wouldnt give enough light to even notice..If you want to start to flower use a large fridge box and plac eit over the plants you wont have to worry about heat inside the box or air..Cheers
