Suggestions for an indoor sativa?

Hi, a little background: A haze 19 pheno of a Haze 19 x Skunk has been the best weed I've ever smoked when it came to the high. It was like sour diesel but maybe a little more trippy, "speedier" and it relaxed my muscles unlike any other strain (or pill) i have tried. It was finished by day 55. It didn't produce much compared to the skunk pheno but that's totally fine with me, I'm looking for quality over quantity. The lemon taste wasn't ideal, but tolerable.

I can't get haze 19 x skunk seeds anymore though, BUT i have read very good things about Ace in terms of sativas. Zamadelic sounds nice but 12+ weeks of flowering seems a little long, still it might be worth it. Bangi Haze is what I am leaning towards to try and reunite with that blessed haze 19 high, the muscle relaxing properties were unbelievable. For instance, my neck and back muscles would relax and naturally pop because of it and it was almost like chiropractor adjustment. It was great fun too.

It's pretty easy to find durban poison clones here in Denver, but a lot of these clones are selected for quantity, and not the high.

So to the people with experience with Ace seeds, what do you recommend for indoor sativa growing?

well, for muscle relaxation, i´d say you´d be better off by looking through indicas instead, but, I assume you have already tried and found that sativas work best for you.

indoor sativas...hummm, i´d say Nepjam, Panama, and destroyer....:tiphat:

I haven't grown it yet, so my recommendation is quite speculative, but maybe you can try Panama. The south-american sativas are said to usually not be speedy, they are more dreamy and comfortable. No adrenaline/tension, only warm feeling in the body. I can only guess that this translates into better muscle relaxation.
Panama also seems quite manageable and yieldy indoors.
African strains (Congo, and so Banghi to some extent) don't sound like a good choice for muscle relaxation, unless left to ripen very well. You will hardly find anything more energetic on the market than Ace's africans, there's no muscle relaxation with them :)

Hey folks, it thanks for the suggestions. It does sound weird that the (haze 19) pheno i liked has muscle relaxing properties but it was also considerably thinner, yielded less but had a energetic and somewhat trippy effect. The other (skunk) pheno was thicker, yielded morre but not nearly as energetic and it didn't relax your muscles and feel good to stretch like on the haze 19 pheno. I think i read that they may be old positronics genetics.

Been lurking and found this nice quote:

Golder Tiger will be more up than Malawi thanks to the Thai influence. If you're asking me, get the Golden Tiger - its some damn strong stuff.

Malawi on its own is a penetrating, potent, somewhat soaring, semi-narcotic stone. Malawi is great for chatting while making fun of movies, but don't expect to be really active on the stuff, especially on the comedown, might even put you to sleep.

Zamaldelica (standard) is more.. shroomy than sativa depending on which phenos you're dealing with. Everything will be a lot to take in. Your vision drops into 2-5 frames per second. There is a continual surging energy that your rookie friends will probably be afraid of . If you're looking to find your personal ceiling of "I don't know if I like being this high" you want Zamaldelica regulars (the fems are probably the same but I haven't run them).

Destroyer is the easiest to grow plant I think I've ever run. Just an impossible plant to kill, no matter how much you abuse them. Its clear, energetic and a VERY A.D.D. "hey let me tell you about my..OMG lets go ride bikes!" type of high. If you're planning daytime activities, it doesn't get much better suited than Destroyer.

I'm leaning toward zamaledica just so i can try something so far on the sativa side of things.

Does Ace or Cannabiogen make Destroyer? It's not available on Ace's site?

I don't have first hand on Destroyer, but I have some Zamaldelica
and share with you the relaxing side of sativas.

I enjoy the Afghans, but too soon put me in a stupor. Not that there's
anything wrong with that.

If you go from cuttings vegged only a couple days after rooting, you
can easily manage the Zamaldelica in a micro environment.

Like this:

Finishes around 110 days, the best with a 6-8+ week cure.

Welcome GeorgeWKush,

It's not easy to find an energetic sativa with muscle relaxing properties. My recommendations are strong sativas with some body effect like Malawi, Golden Tiger or Panama, or a sativa/indica hybrid with strong presence and desirable from both sides like Congo or the new Zamal Hash. Last 2 are under the 12 week range of flowering time.

Hope it helps! dubi

You folks are great. Thanks for the wonderful feedback. Sometimes it takes me a few days to research the genetics/ideas before I realize how thoughtful your words can be.

Right now im flowering some pre-98 bubba kush and there is no stretch... its pretty amazing in a way. It's like its vegging (semi-slowly) while investing energy/plant-matter in all the bud sites (and not stretching). Like Dropped Cat said, there is nothing wrong with indicas if that is what you enjoy.... but what would happen if you crossed this crazy no-stretch bubba with some crazy sativa pheno like this:

It's mad science! It seems like rolling dice on gene splices. (also, where are the THC tomatoes?)

Am also curious about crossing Cinderella 99 with a 100% 12-14 week sativa.

im definitely picking up some Ace genetics. Panama, Zamaldelica, Bangi Haze, malawi, golden tiger, all sound super.

Hola,

Of the ACE strains I can concur with the Panama recommendation, the hieght is managable, flower times are as short as 8-9wks and the high is relaxing to the body while remaining alert in the mind. Check out my thread from a few years back when I ran the Panama and Golden Tiger side by side...both are outstanding:)

Saludos

I had a (well-cured) Nep-leaning NepJam that was relaxed floaty-headed fun.
And had no stupor- you can even go for a relaxed hike.
A very nice unique high that can finish quick, but deserves a good cure to clear up monginess.

I'm growing Nepal Haze in an attempt to get a little more energy into the Nepal's groovy.

I have a TON of fun doing yoga while high on Congo, but it's not so much a pain reliever like afghani weed...more like "pain apathy." Tricky plant for indoor though, would clone her and flower small if I ran her again. Fun plant though, not sure if it's what you need, but it sounds like what you're describing. Got 3oz dried off 1 random fem seed grown organically in a 2'×2'×5.5' tent under LEDs.

My CBG Panama turned out exactly as you describe. It's ruined me for recreational indica smoking - Panama is the perfect indica for me :D

My Zamaldelica is similar, but too trippy to be relaxing.

Yes, Zamaldelica is very trippy and energetic.

Panana red/pink phenos are like a high quality and tamed red colombian line, not sure if you are familiarized with colombian punto rojo sativas, but their effect is quite dense and relaxed and they are indeed pure sativas. The green panama expressions are another history, more energetic clean and positive.
