Stupid carbon scrubber question...

Right now I have 2 ONA blocks and still can't control the smell of 3 plants... not to mention everyone always asks what the hell is that smell in my room (ONA smells like the fragrence they use in alot of public bathrooms)...

Ok, I've decided to build my own carbon scrubber because the store bought one cut down way too much on my airflow (not to mention it was too big for the cab).

What will cut down more airflow on my exhaust? Sucking through the carbon or blowing through it? Would it even be a noticeable difference? I would much rather suck through the carbon instead of blowing through it, since it is much more quiet...

Pulling through the carbon is more efficient than pushing, so build it the way you want to. I'm running two home built carbon scrubbers; they work great!

Yes i agree with ambre. Pulling (sucking) through the filter is more efficient in terms of total air output. If you blow through a filter, the fan will get alot of "back pressure", thus reducing total air output. But if you absolutley must blow through a filter, then choose a filter that is very long and with a thin carbon layer.

i bought a 4inch carbon scrubber from my hydro shop insuide is 4inch outside is approx 6inch dia and 2ft long 80$
