Stupid Bubblebag Question

Hey, a real quick question. I ruined my work bag and haven't got around to replacing it yet. I was planning on mixing up some bubble tomorrow. Since I don't have the work bag I was just going to mix it up in a 5 gallon bucket, run through a strainer into the first bag to get any large chunks of plant matter out, and then do the rest as usual. The first bag is never usable anyways so I thought this would work well. Does this sound alright?

should work no problem. you can avoid ruining your work bag by not mixing inside it too. use 2 buckets, mix it up in one bucket, have the bags set-up in the other bucket and filter through once finished mixing in the other bucket.

if you dry sift the trim, I would gently shake it across the screens for the first grade, you can often get dry sift bubble this way with a taste that cant be beat.

I've posted this picture before, but I thought it might give you some ideas. The screens are window screen frames, with various grades of silkscreen in it, as the labels on the screens show. Gently carding through this will give you some of the finest melty you could use - especially in the middle grade screens.

I usually run mine through my tumbler first, to get all the trichs off the dry trim. I then run the rough kief through the screens to filter down to the best stuff without any other junk. Yummm, man, is that good!!!

Keefhead, thats just what i want to build myself.
Another temporary replacement for the work bag would be an old silk shirt-should keep the veggy mess in and let the trichs through-my very1st attempt at making hash through the use of ice and water(i cant call what i made that day bubble hehehe) was with a big bucket and a silk shirt.....only one grade full of all the crap too- but you would have ur bags below to do the sifting......

Those screens are awesome Keefhead. I bet the hash from them tastes amazing!

My bubble turned out alright. I used blueberry and green goddess trim. Nothing melty, but certainly an outstanding smoke. I think I'm going to try BHO next time. Bubblebags are a lot of work for the yield I usually get.

gl.pirate It is an entirely acceptable experience.

Folks - if you haven't already found it, smily did a post on "bubblebuckets" or something like that, just this week in the hash forum, and they look good. I recommend that folks trying to save a buck look them over.
