I don't have to even read what I know is bvllshyt. I've stopped smoking (cannabis) for various reasons over the years, sometimes as long as two years others just long enough to get through piss testing, each time I quit that was it, no fvcking problem, yes a diminished appetite but that is not withdrawl.

OK....... now I went back and read the findings, a single 25 person study that makes no fvcking sense at all to begin with. What a bag of shyt.

Midway through last year I went overseas for the first time and as a result didn't smoke any pot for 2 weeks. I'm a daily pot smoker (fulltime i guess u could say) but it didn't really affect me. My appetite was only mildly diminished for a few days, but that was pretty much the only 'withdrawal symptom' I got, and even with a diminished appetite I still ate fine.

I also found that being geographically/physically away from any source of temptation helps - I couldn't have smoked pot at the time even if I wanted to as there simply was none, and as a result I didn't spend too much time pointlessly thinking about it.

They are fair, the study said similar.

Cigarettes are not pot, they don't taste good, pot does for the most part.

Cigarettes don't get a person high.

Cigarettes are something a person should want to quit, weed shouldn't be something that a person should quit.

Cigarettes don't calm the soul as weed does.

Cigarettes are garbage and contain more harmful chemicals in the burned solution.

Cigarettes, I have a feeling, kill more people than marijuana, because marijuana contains numerous anti-tumoral agents.

Cigarettes cost more than marijuana, if you grow your own.

Cigarettes give money to people who don't deserve it, marijuana is a source of low-income families a lot of the time.

Weed is something to be proud to indulge upon and grow, cigarettes/tobacco aren't.

I'm not really seeing a correlation between this study and my personal experience. Going without pot is a lot better than it used to be going without cigarettes. I smoked cigarettes for a good 4-5 years and I can't say the urge to smoke cannabis was ever stronger than the urge to smoke cigarettes. I could handle waking up and not having any weed to smoke but I hated waking up and not having any cigarettes. Whenever I didn't get my cancer stick I would be, on average, more grumpy, more anxious and more depressed than I've ever been when I didn't have herb.

i smoked cigs and pot since the 7Os. iv been forced to quit pot on a very few select times in my life. i quit cigs 7yrs ago.

the differences were like night and day. nicotine is addictive. thc is not. end of story.

I smoke cigs off and on, I can go a week with out them with no problem, if I go a couple days without smoking I find it difficult to go to sleep before 3am, granted I usually stay up untill about 1 and just pass out on the couch when I'm tired, and I do also find that I lose some appetite since I generally smoke a good 10 15 before I eat.

I had to take a break for the last couple of weeks.......and the only thing I've noticed so far, is that I smoke 2 to 3 times more cigs now. Go fukin figure!

I WISH quitting cigs was as easy as quitting pot. I can't tell you how many times I've quit cigs and restarted...
