This baby got the top munched off by a deer. Anyone know if it will make it?

yes it will survive...unless of course the deer returns for more snacking.

At this point, it's only been "topped" by the deer and should branch out nicely.

If it's safe for you to do so, I think you should cage that plant until it's big enough to take care of itself.
Human or dog urine sprayed around the plant will make deers uneasy and go elsewhere, but a cage is the only guarantee.

Drill a hole through some deodorant soap. Using string, hang the soap on trees near the plant. The plants look hungry.

I think Black Velvet is full of shit. Sorry boss but I keep reading your posts and while you seem eduacted on horticulture, you also seem very " loose " Not to mention, where are your plants? Nothing in the gallery remotely close. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong. I also read from another member or two that you love to fuck peoples growing experiences up.

I apologize sincerely if i'm wrong, but for some reason I doubt it.

*edit*
I think that plant will be just fine, I agree with the cage idea though, only makes sense. I don't think they look all that hungry either. Should be a lot bushier of a plant, at least he didn't up-root it. Good luck man and sorry for posting about BV... I felt the need to warn.

dude, you should buy some baggies that repel deer and stuff, you can also buy a liquid form but...it get's washed real quick if it rains a lot, so baggies are better in my opinion(depends on ur circumstances)
you should get them in every local gardening store

don't worry about her, she'll branch even more now, maybe you should feed her some nitrogen, just a little(1/2 strenght of what the manufacturer says) if you want better results
