Struggling identifying what these bugs are..

Well for the first time in my career I have encountered some critters and need the IC community help to identify and rid them. So the specs:
4'x4' brick room, 400w hps, exhaust fan and 2 fans under cannopy, 2 DWC, 2 soil, 10 on a ebb/flow. Temps are around 80degrees, hot but it will have to do. Humidity unknown, I'm guessing 40-60%. Have had some root rot on one of the DWC but a firm trimming of the roots fixed that. All plants are now 3 weeks into flower. Ebb flow is a small tub (24"x18"x6") filled with hydroton and the 10 girls. So today I found little white things moving underneath some damaged leaves. Bugs occur less frequently on healthy upper leaves and even on worst lower leave I only saw 3-5 bugs undearth it. So to the pictures.
I dont believe the picture with the bug is the same leaf as photographed later but both problems came about together so if related it might help diagnose. Thanks to all in advance.

Forgot, tomorrow I will use my loupe and take a much bigger picture of the bug because that pic is just the best I could do today.

Looks like whitefly damage... assuming u have ruled out mites!... only other thing I can think of is maybe thrips!

But if they are little yellow wiggly worm thinggys with tiny flies flying around occasionaly.. thats what it is...

Pyrethin works.. neem would work... hell AVID is what I would use.. get some yellow 3 mo. traps put 3 or 4 of those around the plants... you would be AMAZED at how well they can work.. and will PREVENT shit from happening

Peace

You have Thrips without a doubt. Possibly mites too but I'm only suspicious of mites.

Ambush works but they build up a tolerance fast. After using ambush several times if they get worse track down some Malithon.

Avid is not for Thrips and Neem Oil only makes it difficult for them to lay eggs. I would go straight for something in hopes of ending this before you end up with sick dying plants. there are a lot of eggs on those leaves in the bottom 2 pics. It can get really bad fast.

i think they are thrips and the black dots would be dropping of the bug......

You indeed have thrips(do u own a cat?) and it looks like spidermites as well. In the Labs we prefer to stay organic. Neem oil is sprayed every 2-3 days and up to the 4th week of flowering regardless of any problems. You may certainly have to use a heavy chemical, so prepare for an air mask and proper ventilation before spraying.

ok looking at a hydro store's web page I cannot find ambush or malithon, there are sticky aphid & white fly traps, sticky blue thrip & leafminer traps. Anything in this web page worth buying? http://ecogardensupply.com/xcart/home.php?cat=280&sort=orderby&sort_direction=0&page=1
thanks again.
PS the only movement I saw under the leaves was these things what are signs of mites? Any idea what the block dots on the leaves is from?

Spinosad

This has Spinosad in it.

Monterey Garden Spray

OK so no I do not own a cat, there have been a few dogs at the house but none live there. Snakes are in the house (pet) but they rarely leave their aquariums and never by the plants. I was looking at getting "safer yard and garden insecticide" since I read it can be used during flowering. Will this work for both thrips and spider mites? Or do I need more drastic measures? I'm trying not to lose this crop, it's looking too pretty to die. Thanks, PEACE

This will solve all your problems.

I have serious doubts that this product will "solve all your problems".

Products like that usually work as a precaution and have limited effects on an infestation of bugs like mites and thrips.

Those work slow and the problem with slow acting products is the super bugs like spider mites and thrips quickly build a tolerance to it. The eggs even hatch with the tolerance already from being slowly absorbed through the shell.

Spays mixed at no less than the recommended rate are the most effective unless you have to get serious and use a fog bomb.

Well here is a pic as promised, although not as promptly as I had hoped. Here is a pic of the bug through a 10 or 20x loupe. Also some pics of the brand and a view of the ebb flow. Most about 15-20" tall.
