hi sweetleaf, I know I pretty much started with plants as stretchy as yours too. We all have to start somewhere.
Looking pretty damn good for a first grow.

I'm assuming you have a shower still or did you sacrifice your only means of bathing lol.

Here is a good link that helped me get my plants much more bushy, try it on your next grow:

Hi Sweetleaf,

It looks like there too stretched.
Possibly because of 1000W, because of heat you have to place it higher. Therefore plants stretch to reach the light. You can solve this problem by using a 400W-600W or a cool-tube. Using 2 x 400W or 600W will increase your yield also comparing with a 1000W.
To get rid of the orange light; make a picture within a minute after the lights are turned on.

Peace

Stretching can be reduced with proper training and light positioning. One way is to Fim or top the plants in veg. Some LST by tying and bending. A good way is to snap the plant as your training. You can use it as a SCROG or SOG. Bottom growth shoots up to vie for its spot at the top of the canopy when it realizes the main stem is damaged. Within a week, the middle stem will have repaired itself and, along with the additional branching from below, forms a fairly even and low maintenance canopy. Once set into flower, it is easy to work with as there are no real stragglers. The key is to get as many viable budsites to the top with no growth left to suffer under the canopy. Lollipopping can be done, but snapping it reduces the amount of budsites that are wasted. FIMing also allows you to grow the main cola branches out to the side while working lower growth up through the middle. FIM'd Mango-
Snapped Mango- FIMing takes longer but allows you more freedom with the positioning of the branches.
