I have not yet heard of the plant's parental genetics going up for sale as of yet, but I will definately keep my eyes and ears open... Nowadays all we hear of is Strawberry diesel, or Double Diesel... whatever happened to the strawberry cough? Speaking of which, what is the genetic makeup that we know as Strawberry Cough?

I have some DP Strawberry Cough just starting out, it looks quite Sativa, so the haze cross might well be right.

I also have Cheese x Diesel x Cough [CDC to her friends, either a Rez Dog special itself or one a mate added himself to Exodus Cheese, I cannot remember]..... a friend tried it blind and said "Is this Cheese or Diesel" ?? ..... the Strawberry Cough is, effectively, invisible.

Thank you Pops for a fast response especially for ya old guys. Just kidding! I know it was a very noob question to ask... but who is to know without a question answered? And thank you for not coming down on my misinformed self, you "residential pissy old man" LOL
I also misinterpreted the Strawberry deisel story... I have been looking for reading material so I can get it right, but have come up dry so far.
Not to get astray from the topic of the thread, I only hope we can find somebody with an original Strawberry fields. In all honesty I feel it is doubtful as I have heard much on the degradation of a plant as years go by. But if the strain was so popular, I am sure there has to be seeds at least...

i have a d.p. strawberry cough (from fem seed) that is 4 weeks into flower as of today and it is sick. i vegged it out really big and did some LST and i have several really fat colas coming along. i had to move it up from a 5 gallon bucket during veg into a 20 gallon (maybe 10, but its real big) and i still have to water it more often than the rest. i have a bunch more in veg right now that are looking great i'm doing a small ebb flow table of it too that's in veg looking SUPER healthy. i like how the leaves grow at an aggresive upward angle. i kinda smell strawberries when i rub the stems too. i'm very excited for this one. i need to find my camera and i'll show you guys some pictures. i'm thinking of making the SC one of my main strains...im' pretty sure the DP is the kyle kushman SC cut crossed with a skunk or something, but it doesn't look like skunk at all-huge upward angled fan leaves and nice round buds--i can't wait! it's a good pheno. :joint:

At my old job. we used to have the fields. we just called her Mrs.Fields :muahaha: as far as I know, we dont have her anymore. But im sure someone in the crew has still got a mother or two in their attic. Good luck ever getting some. Because it was never anyone did on large scale. It was always personal.

Heres a picture for old times sake...

Smells just like sweet strawberry candies...

I also wondered this recently after I was gifted KKSC. I used to get it when I was younger and then it wasn't around for me for years. I have some in flower now for about 3 weeks tomorrow and hope to post some bud porn of if when she looks ready. Until week 4 its meh for me. I am def interested in a Straw Diesel pheno myself.
Boring but something-KKSC just flipped.

Strawberry Fields from what I know is a mostly Indica strain. The genetics are unknown though. I grew out some Strawberry Diesel and I got a very Indica pheno smelling of Strawberry candy. When you open the jar it smelled like strawberry preserves. I thought this might be the Strawberry Fields pheno.

some may remember '20 thai from Oz., he bred a strain named "Strawberry Feilds" of which he sent seeds to many people across the world including someone in Vermont... but who knows if 20' thai's "strawberry feilds" is the same one used in Kyle Kushman's Strawberry Cough.

LOL Tenfoot... GET ME A JOB THERE!!!! I would call her Mrs. Whatever-she-wanted if I got to chill with names like Strawberry Fields lol.
I had one seed of bud called Strawblurry. I was told it was Strawberry cough x NL. When it grew, it s t r e t c h e d! The thinnest leaves I have ever grown, it was the most pure sativa I ever grew, also the most mutated... until it was killed due to an unexpected move.
So what lineage did the strawberry actually evolve from(what is the furthest strain that initiated Strawberry)?

Hey So how come that "Mrs Fields" in this thread is "Strawberry Cough" in this thread.

http://icmag.com/ic/showpost.php?p=1483587&postcount=309

So thats the Hogsbreath house you were trimming at that had a 13-15 unit crop that got raided and all you did there was trim with no share of the crop [your story in the San Diegos Finest Cuts about how you got the Hogsbreath mom]and yet you were part of the crew that ran this house in this thread with one of your homies hopefully still holding moms of "Mrs Fields" in the attic?

I would assume that SF is an indica considering that KKSC didn't get it's chunkiness from the haze side. Connecticut is where the original SC seeds were bred if my memory serves me correctly...KK got some beans and the KKSC is his select pheno...

Strawberry Cough.........

Now for the strawberry fields. It is a 100% indica strain that
originated in vermont. around 7 weeks flowering time. Breed
for the taste and smell of strawberries, and to be able to
finish before the first snow fall in Vermont. High yielder. from
what I understand, the strain was given it's name because the
breeder grew it for many years in with his strawberry plants,
and claimed that the original scent of strawberries was intensified
because of the way he grew the plants together. nevertheless, if
his theories were correct or not, the worked plants in his field
had developed a scent and smell that matched his freshest
strawberries to a tee. But the high was not ideal for his
prefrences(needed to be more cerebral). He took an outstanding
pure haze male and crossed it with his best female flowering in
his fields. These are essentially strawberry cough seeds, but not
the clone that's going around. The SC pheno clone was found in
sorting through dozens of these seeds that were given to kyle
kushman. the SC clone yields very heavily from it's mother
strawberry fields(which I was told the real deal is now
extinct). expect a minimun of five to six ounces per sc plant,
and the real deal finish around 7.5 -9 weeks depending on what
you look at to harvest. each branch must be supported with at
least one stalk, or the weight of the buds will cause your limbs
and buds to hang on the ground

nebu

regarding the Strawberry Cough heritage, Strawberry Fields x Haze as I was
told. Though Kyle (with whom I worked @ HighTimes and who provided the
clone & details to me) had said it was a lonely (& lowly, he thought
at first) clone, not seeds, which he received. He did not expect much
(the 'breeder' had a very small, humble environment) and accepted the
clone only to be polite ~ upon arriving home after a fairly long drive
he opened the box where he had placed the clones and was suprised to
catch the strong aroma of strawberries. At that moment he thought
that it just might be something special. (which it really is!)

not that its yer business but yeah i WAS just a trimmer and no i didnt have any share. basically i was helped out by a long time friend because i was on a run of shit luck. period.

i thought it was cough. found out it was fields. like i said i only trimmed and got discount on buds. none of my shit. i VALUE freedom.

Strawberry Creme, is a second gen plant, from selfed seed off the kushman cut. GE from CBay did the selfin, 4 packs were purchased. one male was found, another gen made and the SCreme was found in that batch.

to the best of my recollection, GE recieved the first selfed seed, she selfed females again usin sensi soak. then another gen done by my friend. SCreme was in that batch from my buddy. there were actually 2 plants with the strawberry creme aroma flavor, the one that goes around, which is a more sativa leanin plant, and another which is a more indica dom plant.
