What's new

strawberry and cream grow thread

LW, I just built this room, its sealed tight. no light leaks. this was a new strain from seed for me (us), and their known to possibly have some hermie issues. everything that comes into my garden area gets wiped down, or at least the 95% im able to do so. after every harvest the entire room gets sprayed and wiped down 4x. im anal about my rooms cleanliness and keeping bugs out.

SC#2, found a seed in the main cola tonight, didn't see any nanners. she was sitting next to SC#1. both strawberries sit above my gorilla glues, and ive never had a glue hermie on my in 5 grows.

at least #1 (fruity pebbles) is still going strong, #4 is still doing good as well.
fingers crossed

I forgot I was going to reply; thanks for your civil response and as I'm sure you know, I meant no offense in my question, nor was I questioning your growing skills so thanks again for keeping it cool.

How's your plants coming along?

no offense taken bro. this isn't joke-it-up, lol.

I had to chop one glue as the snc that hermied I didn't catch in time, so the he/she douched some glues. I one the other day and 1/2 was cut yesterday on another plant. this Friday is chop day.

I guess I should have paid closer attention to new plants grown from seed. I didn't expect what happened to happen. oh well all in the name of growing I guess.

I chopped the SC about a week ago. found the one gorilla glue that was douched by the hermie SC had some seeds (mature, nice beige/brown/striped color). found about 15 or so after trimming and putting the SC buds on my dry racks. I saved them and will pop one or two at a time and run them, chances are they will be hermies, but ill risk the time and huge effort in trying to get one or two non-hermie keepers of the new Strawberry Glue strain. wasn't sure what else to call it.

the SC1 (aka fruity pebbles) strain is already curing in a 1/2 gallon mason jar. est about an ounce. she smells sooo damn good. I cant wait to smoke her. ill give it another week of curing before I indulge.

the SC4 strain is also already curing In a 1/2 gallon mason jar. about an ounce as well. she smells slightly like strawberries, but not really potent in the aroma dept.

my next run I have a SC1 (aka fruity pebbles) in a 5 gal pot. im also running a SC1 and a SC4 in 2.5 gal pots. I had some spare room, so why not.

I took mine down a week + ago. no pics, as im still upset at the hermie plants I got from CSG, and ruining 3xglue plants that didn't yield for SHIT (lost out on 12 ounces of glue). I didn't expect this from a reputable breeder at all. my faith in CSG went out the window and will be the last time I run their seeds.

in the coming months and months and months something good comes from the hermie douching my glues received and I have a NON hermie plant, then I might be a bit happier with this situation. but im not holding my breath.

hey bro

sorry for the late reply

looking great tho
ive noticed that leaf twist my self before but it doesnt seem to be afect the girls in any way
i see the striping on the stem on many strains, cheese being 1
as long as they look healthy and happy i would take any notice of it

there are some real short phenos in these more on the strawberry side and some mix phenos that strech a 1/3 more than the short phenos

im sure you will be geting some real strong strawbery funk smell coming from these
the strawberry x's come out more strawberry smelling an tasting than the strawberry cough mother used

look forward to how you get on with these

peace

Leaf twisting is due to light being to close, on some phenos if the light source is to close they start twisting if you move them away a few inches they revert back to normal.... the pheno that grow with vigor faster dont really have that problem... but my short slow growing keeper pheno thats loud as hell as that problem... i went thru alot of strawberry posts and u can see its very common... so basically your heat stressing the plant and its probably why his plants ended up with male flowers. if your plant leaf are twisting clearly they are talking to you do not ignore them.
