I got lazy and didn't feel like driving 15 mins to my usual grow store and went 5 mins to a smaller one. that's the reason why I didn't go with LW originally.

LW for seedlings, FFOF for clones straight from the cloner to solo cup (adding myco as well)and any up-pot from there (also adding myco at this time too). I amend my FFOF with 1 cup powdered dolomite lime per bag, as well as a 1/3 worth of chunky perlite per bag. ive never had any cal-mag issues in 4+ years, or any other type of plant problem, weather it be a deficiency, burn or bug. knock on wood. and ive only been growing for 4 years. but I have 12 months of researching before I even bought a single thing.

12-25-14 update.

up-potted the girls in 1gal pots or about that size. potted them in straight FFOF soil along with 1.5tbsp myco per pot, and put them in my cloner room under 2x 2x4' t8 6500k bulbs. I don't have room in my veg tent for 4 pots currently. I hope they like the lesser flouro light for a few weeks. I plan on putting these in my next flower cycle (hoping too).

Looking good brother...you'll have them rocking in no time. My two are blowing up and looking great as well, excited to see what we get from these :dance013:

thanks JD

3 minimum per plant or they get the boot. I cant make room for sub par yields when my gorilla glues rule my flower room.

1/13 update

I took 3x cuttings from each plants last night then threw them into my flower room. I had the extra space, and figured what the hell, why not. I don't expect much yield from them, but I should be able to get a feel for a keeper pheno and a not so good one.

I did FIM each one 1.5 weeks ago 1x.

flower room is a 8x12x7 built room with a/c (73-75* daily temps) with 3x600hps in big kahuna hoods.

they will be fed technaflora recipe for success flower nutes (weeks 1-8), also with newtons apple and yellow label liquid budswel (organic guano) (weeks 3-8) with bubbled h2o.

Looking awesome dude. My two S&C are looking more and more homogeneous with each passing day. I can't tell in your photos, are you noticing any red stems and pinstriping on yours?

I get purple lines in my stems on every plant for the last 4 years (any strain I grow, I get the stripes).

I do have 1 plant that is standing out above the rest. super bushy, super huge fans, about 2" taller than the others. another one that resembles that one I mentioned above, just a tad shorter. the other 2 look a week behind schedule of the others.

I mentioned in my other thread, I may up pot them to 3.7gal pots tonight. but not sure if it will stress them out since I just flipped them last night and took cuttings. I don't want them to get root bound in 1gal pots and flowering for 9 weeks.

oh, somehow I missed that you were already flowering and didn't consider that. Root growth slows considerably once flowering starts as far as I know, so I don't think it would really stress it, I just don't think it would do much for it one way or the other. But, again, what do I know? :tiphat:

As for your comment on the striping, that's interesting. It's definitely not something that is rare by any means, but I definitely can't say that every plant I've grown has had it. Like I say all the time, amazing how much there is always left to learn about this plant, I love that.

I do keep my flower room kinda cool. upper canopy under the lights (I have a temp/rh meter) stays stable at 75* and 45%. floor zone is about 72*. people say the purple striping is from the cold temps. but im not 100% certain.

maybe ill just leave well enough alone with the creams and let them flower in the 1gal pot.

interesting...I've seen that pinstriping in the dead of summer here in the mountains with outdoor plants, while some right next to them didn't have it at all. I think most plants I've seen have at least very light striping, but the deep purple/gray/almost black is what I tend to notice. I wonder if it's a genetic expression that is brought out by stress including cold? I need to do some reading, now I'm curious.

I say you're cool either way because if you choose to up-pot I'll be able to see how the s&c do in larger containers for my own selfish purposes. Either way I'm sure you'll be killing it dude

ill try and get some pics of the striping later on in flower. im not sure if I seen it in veg. but ive been so busy the last 1.5 weeks, I barely know what day it is and I have a 2 week beard growing. lol to tired to shave and this shit itches crazy.

from now on, every plant in my garden will be finishing in 4.7 gal (short/fat pots). now I have the room and light availability for 16 4.7 gal pots in the flower room.

ill also be building an shelf or buy a table to raise the creams another 2-3 feet to get optimum light.

couple new pics from last night.

I noticed on all 4 of the strawberries they have the leaf twist going on, like my gorilla glues have during veg. I only noticed this last night 7 days after the initial 12/12 flip. not sure what causes this, but from looking at the plant, she seems perfectly normal, minus the twist. no deficiency, no nute burn, 73* canopy temps, good air movement, excellent air exchange.

the last pics shows a close up of the twist.

1/24 update

im back from having the worse flu ever in my life, so Im still playing catch up on my garden. the strawberries were a day behind in watering, so they had some droopy leaves.

the strawberries are going great in flower. they are stretching a bit, and starting to really fill in. looks like a real bushy plant. the leaf twist is still prevalent, but doesn't seem to effect the plants. im still not really getting a discernible smell from them yet. maybe in a few more weeks some odor might develop.

I also potted the clones from the cloner last night. 100% success rate 12 for 12. they are in solo cups with FFOF soil and some extra myco added

i see the striping on the stem on many strains, cheese being 1
as long as they look healthy and happy i would take any notice of it

there are some real short phenos in these more on the strawberry side and some mix phenos that strech a 1/3 more than the short phenos

im sure you will be geting some real strong strawbery funk smell coming from these
the strawberry x's come out more strawberry smelling an tasting than the strawberry cough mother used

look forward to how you get on with these

@JD
the twist is still there, but the plants look absolutely healthy. they got their 1st real dose of 100% flower nutes the other day and showed no signs of any burn. ill be giving this strain 1/2 of what I normally give my glues and og ghost just to get a feel for them. they are stretching nicely, imo about 1/2" per day (or about). I did remove my empty ballast box and lowered them to compensate for their upward growth. don't want them too close to my hood.

@OJD
I get red/purple striping on every plant ive ever grown in the past 4 years. granted it may have been only 6 strains, so im chalking it up to my environment (possibly the 73* temps), who knows. but they are healthy.

also, this strain is super easy to clone. I normally have a 100% success rate none the less, but these rooted 3 days faster than my other strains (GG#4, og ghost, valentine x) and went into solo cups and are growing nicely.

thanks again everyone. ill get some pics tonight when I check on my girls. cant wait to get some more strawberry smells tonight. boy do I miss that smell in my garden (RIP KK strawberry cream). hoping for a white and a strawberry pheno, but would settle for just the strawberry.

thanks again guys for tagging along. my flower room is really taking off and filling in nicely.

2/10 update

the 4 strawberry girls are growing nicely. one (shorter and bushier) is smelling super yummy compared to the other 3 which are a little taller and leggier (the 3 still smell good, just not as strong). all are growing great, little bit of yellowing on the lower fans. could be due to a little lack of light, but im not too worried about it. they are frosting up real nice for being in week 3 in flower.

I took 3x clones from each plant and are growing excellent. I might have to make another single run of each plant, as my timing is off and wont be able to pick out the pheno keeper in time to pick out the keeper(s) in time. oh well no big deal. this is my 1st time in pheno hunting and trying to time things with my cycles.

sorry for the crappy pics. I need a new camera, but a slr and 400.00 is out of my budget at the moment.

2/12

I up potted 1 each of #1,2,3,4 plants as my timing is off and I don't have time for my current run to finish to pick out the keeper(s). so going to make another run with all 4. they were potted in 2.5gal pots (#600) ffof and myco, watered with sugardaddy h2o, 1.5gal larger than the current run.

notes:
#1 is shorter by 3" than the other 3, the nodes are stacked 1.5" between them. super super super fruity pebbles smell to it. keeper for sure unless the yield/smoke is garbage.
#3 is a bit taller, nodes are stacked 1.5" between them, slight smell-barely noticeable, leggy
#2,4 are equally as tall, nodes are 3" between them, slight smell-barely noticeable, leggy
