Hey guys so this time i am currently running an unkown bagseed i got with some seeds a while ago i know its a female im just not sure what strain so i am gonna let this be a little test :).

i know a lot of people pay £70+ for a grow light and its with good reason. i have bought these as a test due to the fact they are the right spectrum and i want to see what 60 watt of led produces with 2 18watt cfl :).

i currently have 5 bulbs up each bulb being 6watt, i don't want to stress the plant just yet.

Total watts is 96 watt, 60 of them in LEDs,

i am gonna veg this baby until i get some more seeds in a few week. i am using soil sutiable for a baby plant but she has sprouted up yesterday on the 31/12/2014. and she is already growing her second set of real leafs after her cotyledons already which has surprised me :).

now i have never grown with LED lights of any kind, this is just a test my main coal is 3 gram if truth be told but enough rant time for pics

pic 1 of where my baby lives, making this thing light proof is harder than it looks also i have a 4" carbon filter for when flower comes

pic2 what it looks like inside also it had a tiny keyhole lock to stop anyone going in by accident

pic of the unit, with light fittings, also the CFLs are just to boost the temp a little as it was a tad cold

a closer look, also i have white plastic stapled all the way of the inside for light refelction :)

Hey guys so i have given the plant about 2 weeks to do its thing, i will be taking cuttings, getting some new seeds in shortly or i may just run with this until its finished flowering then pop 2, 3 new beans :D. here is a pic of how she is doing under just LED, no other light and these are cheap things from Ebay i was expecting them not to grow anything but in fact she is doing well, short internodes and nice leafs, no bleaching as of yet but its only 3 week from sprouting

looking nice mate, nothing wrong with using the led bulbs i know ppl who do that (lots of them) i just find it cheaper to build an led myself.

having said that do you have the specs on those bulbs?

also its hard to advise without knowing more about your set up but unless you are an experienced grower i woudl run this plant before popping any new beans, so that you can deal with any problems in your cab before you get too many plants in there(asuming this is your 1st run with this set up)

and if you really want yield you can just keep topping that little girl and let it grow wide(i see you have width but not much hight)

good luck

now running on 42 watt of led light

thank you for that exploziv :), so guys its been a little over 7 weeks since she sprouted, and this was just a tester i bought these tiny 6 watt led cheap chinese lights off ebay and i never expected the plant to grow but they have proven me wrong, now. i don't want to put her in flowering yet since i have no other beans and i am going to take cuttings, the internodes are short and she is pretty compact . i did put her in a bigger pot after 2 weeks of growth, also i topped her but here are the latest pics :) tell me what you think please

now the cfl lights were removed after a week of veg and she has continued to grow happy so this proves these little lights do work, im not sure if to put her into flower mode and see what i can get off her or continue letting her veg and have some more fun what do you guys think ?

Hey guys new update so i have had this unknown strain running just under cheap bay 6 watt leds red and blue and i have to say who ever wants to give these a try then they work better than CFLs due to the fact CFLs use a lot more electric i don't even notice any incress i am currently running 8 leds which is 8 * 6 = 48 watt :) so its alright :), i have just took a few cuttings and still trying to get the hang of this haha. here is a pic of the girl so far :D
