Strange but cool

Lower your voicebox as deep as it will go and make a low droning sound with your throat and try to keep it going for a few seconds with your mouth closed.

Now look at your pc monitor as you do it...notice anything?

Somebody else must have noticed this strange phenomena...something to do with the frequencies matching up and causing interferance?

I did it but I didn't notice anything... I have an LCD though, do you have a CRT? The refresh rate with CRTs can definitely do weird stuff sometimes.

Sorta on the same subject, you know those clocks that have the numbers that look like this:

Whenever I'm chewing something, and I look at a clock like that, the numbers jump off of the clock for a split second. Does this happen to anyone else?

No I have a regular big old monitor. I don't know if it would work with the new LCDs.

That thing with the clock is very strange indeed...I don't have one like that so I couldn't say but it sounds like the same sort of thing I'm talking about.

too much time on your hands?

How did you guess?

Come on somebody must know what I'm talking about.

Make sure you look at some text or something detailed on the screen when you do it.
Just try to make the most bass you can with your voice box and your lips closed...sort of like a fridge humming sound.

WHOAH!! I was wondering if I was the only one!!! If you just shake the digital clock lightly, you can see the digits bouncing around in the face of the clock like fucking PONG!!

p.s. The monitor thing didn't work for me, I tried.

I know that youre talking about. It doesnt work with LCDs. Dry blowing into a didjeridoo and then look at the screen, when you blow at the right frequency, the screen literally wavers, I imagine that is what LSD is like...

I know there is a name for this type of thing...like when you pull the string on an instrument and another instrument across the other side of the room will start moving it's string at the same frequency as the other.

Just remembered it's called resonance :D
