Strains that cannot be detected by dogs...

L

Lune TNS

While at work today I was sitting around thinking, and this came to my mind. Weed really does cover the entire spectrum as far as different scents go. That being said, since different types of weed smell different, is it possible for say, a very fruity smelling strain (or just a very different-smelling herb), to go undetected by a drug sniffing dog? I figure that most dogs are trained with typical skunky-smelling buds. Would it be possible for a strain to be developed that is harder for dogs to sniff out? :chin:

The Cannabis smell is a peculiarity of this plant. Its aroma does not originate from the terpenophenolic cannabinoids, but from the more volatile monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes (Lehmann 1995). Hashish detection dogs, for example, do not smell Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) but are able to smell the sesquiterpene caryophyllene oxide (Stahl and Kunde 1973).

I cannot vouch for the credibility of the above

I believe Dogs are so inaccurate. I've beens searched by dogs two times that I've had weed. I'm talkin more than an ounce of chronic, and one time I had a bud (halfway burnt) on the seat 1ft from the dogs nose. Those two times the Dogs never barked and I was let go.

But then I have been searched because dogs have barked. It has happened to me three times that I can remember. The most recent time I had taken a break from pot and had absolutly nothing to do with it. But the dog alerted and I got searched.

I think it is funny that the dogs have always alerted when I have nothing. And when I had the stinky shit the dogs have never alerted to my car.

I want to let you guys know that the dogs I am talking about are trained for marijuana, and not other stuff. I know this because the search station is there just for marijuana and they catch alot of this stuff yearly. In fact a month ago their total for the year was already 20,000 lbs.

So I personaly think that it is a poop shoot.

Ive been searched by dogs about 5 times in my life and the only time they alerted was when i had a bag that transported things regularly but was empty and he still alerted to it.

Does the old black peper trick still work ?

I've heard of smugglers using tiger piss too ,cause dogs are afraid of this odor .
