Strains for outdoor in Atlantic Canada

I'm just wrapping up my first indoor soil grow, and I'm already itching to get things going for the outdoor season!! I'm still low on experience, and would love some advice on what strains I should grow in an Atlantic Canada terrain (mostly woodland and maybe some edges of crop fields... also some wet areas, any strains do well in swampy areas?) I'd like to grow at least 3 different strains with hopefully different maturation times, so I'm not harvesting/trimming everything at once. Also the weather seems outta whack lately, -12 C one day, +7 C the next with way stronger winds lately... if this carries on into summer, it could be a rough growing season, so the hardier the strains, the better!

When did PEI get it's own strain?
If it can grow in PEI it can grow anywhere in Atlantic Canada.
I've even heard of bag seed surviving the 150+ kph of the cape Breton highlands.

How does Atlantic weather compare temperature wise to B C ....during the fall?
