Strain almost impossible to screw up growing?

New member
Just wondering of a very durable plant. Buddy and myself tried Old bag seeds and got plants but they were crap. Not just because seeds, but had acouple problems along the way.
Is there a strain or strains out there that could almost surely give us some sort of harvest?
Also are the female seeds worth it?
Are the cheaper seeds almost always the low end of the Strain world?
Thank you for the help. It's much appreciated.

Any strain will give you "some sort of harvest" if you treat it right and provide for it's needs. Are female seeds worth it? well it depends...on the one hand I've seen some real beautiful bud shots from people doing feminized seeds. On the other hand I've heard fem. seeds can have hermi problems , which you will have to watch for in late flower. Are the cheaper strains crap? Not necessarily , I'm sure many proud growers of Nirvana genetics will have something to say about that. Personally , I'm a believer in you get what you pay for( with in reason of course) , but I've read many "cheap" strain reports where the grower was happy as a clam.Hope this helps man, good luck.

I would reccomend northern lights or a cross of it. I grew it out for my first grow and I can say that it is a VERY forgiving plant. I had nute problems, and a few other small issues but still ended up with a qp out of 4 girls. As for feminised seeds, I personally dislike them mostly for the simple fact that it doesnt seem right. I would rather stick with the tried and true method that has worked for thousands of years, but thats just me. Just as witch said, Ive sen many a great grow/smoke report on feminised strains so Im not dismissing them, just not my cup o tea. Best of luck with whatever you choose, and if you need any help feel free to ask me. Take care and stay safe.

I havnt had the pleasure of having a NL but I have heard ALOT of good things about the. People say they are very forgiving, as someone else already said, and its good green to boot. :smoweed:

I thought Diamond Head was a fairly easy plant to grow. Great plant for indoors because it has no odor. Flowering times are short too. I'd say 48-60 days. I chopped mine at 48 and 55. I still could of left it for another 5 days easily. Sativa high but indica based buds, big and spongy.

I'll second (or is it third by now?) the skunks for a beginner. My first hydro grow was a Skunk clone. I had no idea what I was doing, but I managed to pull over a quarter pound off of a single 250watt HPS.

Check out the Paradise strains mentioned, Nirvana's White Rhino was my easiest to date, and one of my first grows too.

Northern Lights and C99 put up with more abuse than any others types I have grown. C99 took its punishment slightly better but the weak stems need support.

Bubblegums are good like that too Paradise says sativa spirit is an easy one if your more inclined to the sativa side of things.

Cool. That's quite a few plants to choose from.
We'll probably get one of the Nirvana Strains since they are a bit cheaper and that way we can afford to Next Day the MO or whatever.
We have to make a few alterations to our cabinet, but hopefully we can get it up and running in next couple of weeks.
Thanks for replies. Much appreciated. Any more ideas/choices would be cool, if not I'm sure we could decide on one of these.
