Storage Units and Homeland Security

Many people have things in storage units all across the US. Some have weapons, food and water supplies, emergency supplies, along with household and business related stuff.
But what happens if a national emergency is declared?
I went and paid a friends unit fee a couple of days ago. Had been told by a friend that if any national security type event occurred that storage units would not allow access. So I asked the lady behind the counter about it while I was there. Sure enough it is a policy written into homeland securities laws that stop access to storage units should anything happen. There was even a sign posted that stated something to the effect that homeland security could go through the locked sheds in any event they deemed reason to do so. Go figure.
Thoughts? Bitches? Complaints?

Anybody know if the patriot act calls for some kind of national database for storage unit renters?

I've always figured that leo would want to know if the person whose house they just raided has anything in a storage unit.

I know right now that a lot of people simply are not paying their monthly storage rent and their stuff ends up getting auctioned. This seems to be a new thriving business. These guys then sell the stuff on Craigslist.

I would not store anything that I deemed valuable in a rented storage shed regardless of what the government plans on doing in our Zombielandia.

99% of americans don't read the large print before signing let alone the small print. If I wasn't trapped here I would be gone. Fucking hidden agendas will be the death of the USA and all who are tied to her :moon:

no surprise there really,,,

when these things happen and 'tools' like martial law are instated for example, everyones rights go out the window and the state owns everything,,,

governments have only been funded for the last few centuries because they can trick us all into putting our heads in the noose better than their financiers can,,, if they had a more efficient way of making us dig our own graves they would have created it by now,,

the whole west is somethings playtoy,, like a decrepit half dead ragdoll being driven into the mud...

Unless you live in an apartment, having that stuff in a storage unit somewhere off site is dumb. If there is a legit national emergency sort of deal, I want that shit at my side instantly, not get in the suv and drive to the storage place to grab what i need

I have a storage unit, again :) In a relatives name of course. When the shit goes down, the last thing they are going to be worried about is me getting my shit out. And i WILL be getting my shit out.

headiez247 - What if you live in a grow house and do not wish to keep your guns or several thousand rounds of ammo there ?
Or if you live beside a river and don't want your 4 years worth of dehydrated food to get soaked in the event of a flood ?
Or many other scenarios neither one of us has thought of.

ya get what ya vote for. I knew the head of the Republican't party in a county where I lived. He was so exited when the Patriot Act was signed. I said why do we need to lose our personal freedoms, he said it was alright if it kept him safe. So I mentioned that once the government takes it away it become even harder to get them back. He said Gee I hope you wrong about that, the government will never step on pur rights.
I wonder how how feels about all the B.S. now, probably the same my Government right or wrong except when a liberal ( I use that term loosely) is in office then its holy shit the countries going down the drain. run for your guns.

just hidden right in there

sec: 104.

It does not state that. If it was hidden why is it so easy to find to be untrue?

SEC. 104. REQUESTS FOR MILITARY ASSISTANCE TO ENFORCE
PROHIBITION IN CERTAIN EMERGENCIES.

However, if marshal law was in effect the President AKA Commander and Chief could do lots of things like prohibit alcohol. I believe SEC. 104 says that the justice dept may request the military to help enforce the law in the event of an attack.

So the DEA could have some military to help back them up. Now with all these troops coming home they may have enough manpower to shut down the dispensaries.

Here's the USA Patriot Act
