It's been my contention for many years that the more you lie to kids, the less they believe when they discover the truth. I think it's why so many kids end up trying meth or heroin, and end up in real trouble. They find out they were lied to about pot and think the rest is all lies as well. This kind of overblown propaganda only contributes to the lies.

After 40 years of smoking, mostly daily, I guess I'm just an anomaly. I run my own business, sit on the boards of two non-profits, teach classes, and generally am extremely busy with life. Sometimes I WISH I could veg out on the sofa for 72 hours!!

This is exactly the kind of propaganda that made me try smoking pot in the first place. I saw others smoking, and wow, they weren't anything like the people in the articles my parents handed me to read.

You want to discourage use in kids? Be honest! Kids are young, inexperienced and very open to suggestion. They aren't dumb.
