STITCH HELP PLEASE!

I have a problem and searched the forums and came up with nothing....please help.

SETUP:

MIX SOIL IN 18 GALLON BIN
2/3 Promix BX
1/3 Perlite
5 16 oz. cups Earthworm Castings
1/4 Cup D. Lime

VEG FERT is Alaska Fish 5-1-1
FLOWER FERT is Alaska Fish 0-10-10
Unsulphered MOLASSES

600 Watt Digital HPS 18" away from plants
2 6" ECO PLUS 440cfm Fans
Soil as stated above
TEMPS are 78-85 lights on and 70-75 lights off. Humidity averages 55%.

Watering....
Normal tap water with PH of 6.4 and PPM of 115 for regular waterings. 1 16oz. cup full every 3-4 days.
FEED water last time was PH of 6.5 and a PPM of 500. Plants shown are 2 weeks into flowering and roughly 2 1/2 ft tall.

I just transplanted them into 3 gallon pots from 1 gallons yesterday. THIS HAPPENED OVERNIGHT.....

2 weeks flowering just transplanted

This one is at 4 weeks flowering and started the same thing. Fed these ones PH of 6.5 and PPM of 1000 of the 0-10-10

Would it be light burn possibly? Or from the transplant maybe? It was a new bag of soil that I just opened...could it be contaminated? PLEASE HELP ME ASAP. Thank you

Some soilless mixes have a starter charge. This is fertilizer that is sprayed onto the mix while it is being made. If it does, you might consider using alot of straight water at transplant to dilute this. Adding ferts at transplant + starter charge might be too much. Also, your fertilizer water should not be ph 6.5 but rather 5.6 to 6.2 It is possible that you did not get your additional lime mixed well when you were making it. Did it get mixed well?

He is using Promix Bx which has:
peat moss
perlite
vermiculite
and lime as a ph adjuster

What do you mean by starter charge sproutco?

That sucks doesnt it, that would certainly be a good thing to know.

I still believe it is stress from transplant and they need to be babied right now and no ferts for a bit till they are settled.

They wont list a starter charge on the label because it requires more legal requirements. My professional mix doesnt even list lime on the label because of these legal requirements although it contains lime, gypsum, wetting agent, and starter charge. (This is what they told me from Fafard in an email.)

Thanks for the help everyone. I'm thinking it's a stress issue. I'm waiting patiently for the lights to turn on in 20 minutes so I can check on them this morning. At lights off they seemed unchanged......No food for them definately....just some misting. thanks again

SOME UPDATES THIS MORN....

SOME UPDATES THIS MORN....

I dont think its stress from the transplant. I have a few others that have been transplanted weeks ago that started the same thing. Could it be soem OLD FERTS maybe. It was the end of the bottle of 0-10-10 and I've had it for 13 months. POSSIBLE?? Thanks again for the help....they dont look really any worse or better...misted em this morning and we'll see :chin: :fsu:

I think the curling is something with the roots...could be the old ferts  Do you mist them during the dark period btw?

well I think this might be burning the leafs...I misted my seedlings too early and the leafs got burned because the droplets work as a magnifying glass on the leafs and create very hot temperatures...

This is very true...I totally forgot about that possibility.....I'll have to keep an eye on em I guess. Thanks again....anymore info is great as well.

When my plants undergone this, after a few days I cut off the dark yellow/brown parts and they recovered nicely and got their normal growth rate back..Since your plants are wayy bigger than mine were I guess it wont stunt them much or at all..You can mist them but do it 5-10 minutes prior to the bulbs shutting down..But be careful because this will raise your humidity during the dark cycle which could in some circumstances result in mold..So keep humidity down...Good luck!

at first glance I thought they looked a lot like mine, but since it happened overnight, I have nothing to contribute with I'm afraid. The damages on my plants developed over a period of 1-2 weeks.
the theory about misting sounds reasonable tho
