i looked at my little ones and they seem to be trying to tell me something...

they look healthy and have direct sunlight for at least half a day...but the leaves of all of them seam to be reaching for the sky.

yeah but its much harder to move those plants when there in seperate seedling pots, not to mention they cost 1$ a piece, that can add up quick, unless your using styrafoam cups like some do here.

$1 each! I get 15x 9cm square pots from pound stretchers (uk) for 99p

You'd be plesantly surprised with the grow stuff they put on the shelves at spring time.

My point is, it pays to shop around.

Yeah, they're telling you to put them

Yeah, they're telling you to put them

in seperate plastic dixie cups with holes punched in the bottom. Oh the little one said she needs light. Like 400 W HPS. Use distilled water and NO FOOD for about 3 weeks unless you were smart and used Miracle Grow MOISTURE CONTROL MIX in which case all you have to do for the next 3 months is use distilled water. That's all.

i'm no noob friends. nor am i cheap(20 pots - 1$). i just don't have the space or the security to afford to split them. if i had, they would all be in their own pot right now.
i did lessen their numbers though. we're down to the strongest 10.

i've grown indoor up until recently so the leaves pointing straight up had me worrying. if you KNOW something about THAT, please share.

Well do you realize how hard it will be to seperate 10 mature plants after the roots are tangled up without causing some serious stress and/or killing them??

BTW, the leaves pointing up is normal and the least of your concerns :joint:

Be gentle with the knife :yoinks: :yoinks: You must be pulling our chain here!

hey gantz,
if at some point and for any reason you have to put more than one plant in a pot, there is still something you can do:
all you need is thick cardboard and a cutter.cut the board so that they roughly fit inside your pot and divide the pot in as many compartment as you will plant seedlings.at transplanting time you will just bruise a few roots cause this way they never entangle each other.this lessens the stress on the plant.
I myself had a pretty successfull grow with two plants in each pot but now that I have a little more space it's clear that the plants do prefer to have their own pot.
grow on

I'm sure you mean plastic instead of cardboard.. cardboard would get wet and the roots could just grow straight through it then you have a soggy cardboard infested root structure!

WAY HEY!!
