Starting outdoors in November?

A friend of a friend puts out starts right after he cuts down in October. Does anyone do any winter growing in Nor Cal or similar climate? They would flower immediately so I could see how triple potting some decent starts might yield a nice little bumper crop.

I plan on making some seeds so I thought it might be fun to pop a couple right after harvest for a little tester. It would probably be best to use a hoop house to keep warmth in and rain off.

i have reef's jamaican x blue berry and it is killer 12/12 strain. takes about 3 weeks to kick in but once she does she will yield 1/2 bow per plant. it is the sat leaner.

Stone House

For seeds, I tried this two years ago.
I started with a male clone Pakistan Chitral Kush I have been breeding with and kept it in veg under a T5 light.
I picked-up a couple GG#4 clones and kept them under the same light.
The GG#4 clones were put in my (unheated) greenhouse after harvest (early Nov.), they were bushy and about 1 foot tall.
I left them in the gh until they had small popcorn buds starting, at that point I put the male PCK into the greenhouse.
By staggering male/female flowering time I was able to produce more seeds.
Normally it takes about 2 months for seeds to mature, it took about 3 months for these seeds to finish (unheated gh). Seeds were ready late Feb.
Seeds turned out fine, just be sure to wait until the seed is visible (split seed pod).
Feed the plants a veg diet until harvest , seeds need the nutes.
