Starting a Podcast, any interest?

Hey everyone thought i would post a thread here for a little feedback from the place i call home (IC Mag).
Being a long time podcast fan I have been inspired to start a cannabis lifestyle podcast and am keen to find out if it's something people are interested in and what kind of topics and format you would like to see?

My thoughts are to mix general chat (life, entertainment, food, music etc) with cannabis related talk such as grow talk, product reviews, strain reviews, interviews, legality and medical use.
I like the idea of referencing IC Mag threads for listeners to check out either while listening(eye candy) or later for more detailed discussion.
Any other suggestions?

Would be nice to see/hear a uk based podcast to do with herbs.


you could have little teaching/tutorial/guides as podcasts aswell, for breeding, goods n bads of each type of growing method/system , propogation for newbs etc etc
As long as its 'safe' and no chance of risking ure safety, then sounds like something id like to tune into ....
im getting bored of them karl pilkington podcasts, lol

Get a good microphone - the Yeti Pro from Blue Microphone is a good one to consider. Definitely shop price on any model you decide to go with.

I use a small USB microphone (Snowflake) from Blue Mountain with a voice-to-text software and the online price ranged from $43.00 up to $70.00 - unbelievable. For this application I didn't need the voice quality that you will want for creating a Podcast.

I would listen. I think the grower tips are a great idea. I've spent many many hours reading these boards and still learn something new every day.

Sounds like a technical nightmare to try to make that safe for both broadcaster and listener

you could post em on u tube or something , with no vid, just pics or sumthing. Or use a file hosting site if its just mp3.

im guessing to make the initial upload safe, you could use
a lappy, make sure u aint got personal stuff on it. Have a blank cheapo lappy, install a pirate copy of win or whatever u use, get ureself a pay as you go internet plug in thingy. upload file.
Next upload change mac address, and internet pay as you go, if u feelin para

Mentioning the site could work in good ways and bad ways.
Thats the risky part i recon. Some amazing growers on here, and would hate to think that public airing of their skillz were to risk your/their safety in the long run.

Not trying to put a downer on anything, im all up for it. Im just thinking out aloud man. Soz to drone on, im off to roll another..lol

I follow a couple podcasts, always wanted to do my own, but that would entail broadcasting what I do , and I dont need any extra attention, guess if u r not worried about such things, sounds fun

hell ya ,each day of the week dedicated to to a certain topic like mon ,organics tue ,hydro ,wen growroom ,and so on with a guest thats an expert on the topic ,and each day of the week has the same topic every week,then have sponsors plug there product lights nutes ,what have you ,that way you can set ithe show up weeks in adavance and put a couple of weeks in the can befor everything fires off incase of trubles of some sort ,

I think it's a great idea...

I'm toying with the idea of doing the same. Would be interesting to do a jointcast (cute pun) discussing cannabis subjects and the differences between it from both sides of the pond.
