Stanley Blowers @ Wallmart for $25.00

Just picked up the Stanley Blower at Wallmart for $25.00+tax. They had about 15 of 'em left on a close-out skid - get 'em soon if you've been waiting for the price to drop.

I seem to recall they were falsely rated by Stanly. That the actual movement is in the 250 CFM area.

I guess it pays ($5) to live in a depressed area. Still, I'm impressed with how quiet they are. Just got the new 6" Vortex 275cfm (low power version) & it makes it seem loud by comparison, although I don't have the Vortex hooked up to a light or scrubber yet. Still waitin' on the $ for a new tent set-up.
Now I see why so many people have tricked out Mr. Stanley.
(What FreezerBoy says on setting #3)

Grainger listed the CFM per setting as 190, 260, 310. The air king is the same exact thing as the stanley. I think stanley says CFM on low 1280, medium 1750, high 2180 lolololol........

I would say that the 260cfm is close with no pressure on it but with ducting etc I would think 190 is even a little high. BTW I have 4 of them. I'm compaing this to othe squiirel cage blowers I have seen, used, heard.

JP - So are you sayin' that they compare to the Daytons as far as noise goes? Always thought I'd get a Dayton, but for the price, some good inlines start comming into play. The Stanleys seem a little akward to use inside a smaller cab, but I've seen some great mods here on ICMag - they beg to be hacked.

They used to be where the first of the Halloween stuff is now ... you know ... before they close down a bulk of the garden center for Halloween Proper and Christmas BS ... at every store I think (hence them being on a Specials Skid usually located near the front checkouts or capping an aisle) ... fan selection is Seasonal with a bare minimum after Summers peak at Wally World. I got a Lasko at Lowes ... a couple more bucks for a similar but slightly bigger unit and it sucks my Panda tight.

This won't help if you're looking for a $25 option but, if you're willing to pay for a Dayton, you may want to consider an S&P Mixed Vent fan

I can tell you that the stanley is not as strong as the blue blower which does 200,250,300cfm. The blue blower does cost more though. If you guys want to get rid of the tape and bending duct, get panasonic whisperline in-line for $75-85 and you are done (and quiet).

Well, I'm trapped out here in the urban wilderness with zero grow buddys to compare equipment notes with & have to buy all my stuff based on the info here at ICMag and on pure intuition. The local grow store don't have any fans hooked up, but now that I have my first Vortex, I have something to go on.
Definatly got an 4" S&P 100x on my shopping list for my stairwell flower area & probably a 4" or 6" CAP Valuline for exhausting my new bathroom mother/clone/veg area. Gonna save the 6" Vortex for a new 600W tent I plan to buy soon & see how that goes.
I'll probably end up using the Stanley as a carpet dryer when I knock over my first 5 gal bucket.

BTW Walmarts "clearance" pricing varies by every store.

In our state, every Walmart has different items on clearance and even if one happens to have the same item(s) as another store, the prices many times can vary greatly.

The stanley has a .70 amp motor. and I think the dayton 265 has a .93 amp motor.

So are the stanley's kinda useless? One person says they're great, another says they aren't and back and forth. For $30+-, is it just a waste of money and time?

its not a waste of time or money, depends on your setup. unrestricted they move a lot of air. i have one just as a general fan to keep my room cool. im gonna see if it will cool my 600W cooltube which it probably will
