Stankbox - Flowering Day 39 Advice Needed

Stankbox is my dog's name :bashhead:

What I really need is help understanding if I have two different kinds of plants. They just seem to be so different. Specifically if they are Indica or Sativa. I would prefer the head high and wondered which kind of plant does that and if I have one or not. I know it sounds hella noobish cause it should. I am a first timer :jump:

This kind is so spread out. Sorry in advance for the lame picture

Then there is this kind. Neither of which I know how to identify or classify in terms of whether it is indica or sativa or a strain therein.

These next two are close ups of the first picture in this thread

I think I need to head to Radio Shack tomorrow for that microscope - hope I am not too late. Please advise - Thanks!!!

They both look to be hybrids, the first one looks to be about 50/50, the 2nd looks to be leaning slightly on the indica side. Either way, looks like your in for a treat!

One question though, are you pruning fan leaves? it just looks like it from the pics, if so i'd cut down or stop the pruning as the fans will give them energy and allow the plant to grow much healthier. They look great so far.

you know, I have only had them pruned one time. There were no fan leaves taken off. We removed some lower branches that had flowers started but never just fan leaves. I do see what you are saying, it looks kind of bare in the picture and I never noticed that.

hmmm

i think your plants look great, i dont personally trim mine as u can see in my gallery :rasta: ive seen plenty of people trim plants like you have, although i chose to keep them.

its hard to tell if you have 2 different strains because the 2nd plant could have just been trained different to give it the more congested look.

the best way to tell is the way it smells and smokes.

if you look at enough pictures of the different types of strains u can get a good idea. sativas have long slender leaves, indicas have fat stout leaves. thats the best way i can describe them. but dont forget about the afghans and ruderalis :p

hope that helps

Thanks all for you kind words of encouragement. I went to buy the Radio Shack Illuminated Microscope but it ended up being 60x-100x not 30x. So I snapped some photos close up. Let me know what you think please

Nice bud, getting frosty on that first one.

50-100x should also work, instead of seeing the entire stalk, you might just see the head. You would get a better look at the status of the trichs

Take a small piece of sugarleaf and lay it on a table to view trichs through R.S scope, dont try to view entire plant with it.The first plant looks very much like my FS grapefruit pheno,60/40 sativa I do believe. The second highly resembles my FS ice pheno,a bit more on the indica side 60/40 or 70/30.Actually I just dropped the pheno's but they do physically resemble them.

You know I dont bro - this is my first time growing and I got these clones from a friend who has a friend type of deal. I have 13 feminized Lemon Haze seedlings that are roughly 6 inches high right now. I am afraid I still have 3 weeks left and wont get them into 12/12 on time. I heard I could drop them into flowering at 8 inches (is that true?)
