Stand Alone AC Units WTF

Just wondering what is going wrong? 10,000 BTU unit in a 9x6x9 room and temps still spiking at 94 plus degrees with 3k of lights. Who else is using a stand alone unit and what works best? For the amount of electricity this has to be using I would expect it to be a lot cooler. Temps where a lot better @ 2k and no ac unit but coverage sucked. Maybe a light mover is the real answer?

I have an 11k btu window type unit cooling 2600 watts to 76 with no problems at all.
It would take two 'in room' type 10k units to cool the same lights, one could not keep up.

yes, vented carbon filter with a 750ish cfm

thats your prob....... its not give you a/c a chance

rerun your venting to out of the room to hoods to back out of the room

or if u dont have "cool hoods" only run your fan/filter at night and turn your a/c off at that time

for "in room a/c" you have to add 1,000btu to the 4,000 per 1k rule
for ducted hood's with high cfm you can -2,000btu to rule

Yah let the AC do its thing and mix with the air instead of sucking all that EXpensive cooled air out to be wasted

Thanks,
I will try that and just Reticulate the air inside the room. Heavy Indica Flowering so I am very paranoid about 100% no smell. It is not sealed but drywalled with plastic on two of the outer walls, so kind of but not 100%. Not sure what I was thinking do not have it dialed in for the summer yet with this humidity and heat early in the summer plus an additional 1200 Watts in the room.Plants are showing light bleaching and heat stress

I am close though

What do you do about smell for the window unit? Doesn't it exhaust hot air that was sucked in through the room unfiltered? And what about light?

Okay,
I still have heat issues and the outside temps are not that bad right now!!! I removed the 8inch outside exhaust from the can filter and just let the ac run and the room and room temp went up over 114 degrees. I turn off a 600w light (temporary) and shut off the AC unit :-(
So here is the plan:
1.)Remove two 1000 watts Old style transformer's out of the room and re-wire them outside the room. DO not want to but i am going to have to, these thing get f***ing hot in there.
2.) Next, might change out my Can filter and get a lighter one to hang from the Ceiling, this one is to fucking heavy and only sits on a five gallon bucket up to about fix feet of height in the room.
3.) I have a passive air intake 14x 24 in the lower opposite corner and a 4 inch fan 250ish cfm pulling air into the room.

***That standalone AC unit is generating a massive amount of heat outside the grow room and then I think it is getting sucked back in visa vi the passive air intake. But I do not want to be pumping 100 plus degrees air out into the night from the side of the house either. So i am not sure about these stand alone units and how to dissipate the heat away from the room without a six inch blow dryer shooting out from my house. I think I need another unit as a matter of fact more like 18 k BTU to cool this room.

OR i might have to go with the sealed hoods and use less less energy and focus more on the lights. Sucks not being dialed in this early in the summer...

I have found that the better job you do of venting the hot air from portable AC units, the better they work. Insulated ducting is a must, and venting them to the outside world is as well imo.

what about light leaks? I'm considering going back to a like 12k btu window unit, but hte last window unit i had had light leaks, ended up having to do a makeshift ugly cardboard type situation in front of it so light couldn't be seen through the unit outside.

how do u guys take care of this?
