Stalled Clones

I've made a bunch of clones and most of them took off as expected but there are a few that just stalled. The stalled clones were in the same environment as the others and fed and watered equally. They were cloned in rapid rooters with schultz cloning powder and transfered to a 50/50 coco/coarse vermiculite medium. What could explain this?

the clone in the front left corner is from the same mother as the one to the right and the one behind it.

This clone in the front right is from the same mother as the two to the left and the one in the back left corner.

If you unpot one of the stalled ones, you'll find the roots didn't grow to the bottom of the container for some reason. The ones that are fine will have roots at the bottom. It's either overwatering or a drainage problem. Watering and feeding are often pinpoint. Enough of either makes plants grow fast, but a tiny bit too much of either or both can 'stall' them. Do those soda bottles have really, really big drainage holes? Mine are huge. For 20oz solo cups, I take a kitchen knife and poke it in about 1/2" and twist to make 6-7 big, gaping holes.

It's a sure bet that those 'stalled' ones don't want to send roots down into the mix for some reason. No top growth is always caused by no bottom growth. Repotting them (into smaller pots) is the quickest way to fix things.

they look way over watered

also don't use clear bottles , as roots don't like that , and algae will grow and leech off your nutes...

The bottles seem to drain well. I have 3 holes in the bottom of each 16 oz water bottle big enough to just barely get my pinky finger in them. I have one that is stalled thats hard to see in the pictures (3rd pic back row center) that has droopy leaves, so I stopped watering it. The others don't have droopy leaves. Should I stop watering them also to try and force the roots to search for water?

I normally wait until the top layer of medium is dry and light in color before I water, between watering like that and using verm/coco medium, its hard to believe that I would be overwatering.
