Sprouts with seeds stuck on leaves....

Hello everyone this thread is about what i should do with a sprout that rose above the soil about 1 cm so far and still has its seed. I have noticed the seed opening up a very little bit.

This has already happedn to one of my plants which turned into a mutant and died later on..... (rest in peace)

Should i wait until it opens up a little more and pull it off or should i just wait to see what happens.

From my experience the chances of it falling off are not very high. I have to pull off 2 seeds form sprouts in my grow career. Any1 more expereinced please help me decide what to do.

Sometimes help is necessary to remove the shell from the cotyledons... Sour Bubble is known to need this type of assistance. Misting the shell with a little water and waiting a half hour or so will help to remove it with a needle and/or tweezers. Be careful you don't spray much water on em for fear of damp off though. Just enough to rehydrate the woody material so as to bend it and not break it. There is an inner membrane also. Good luck.
