Sprouts Burning Up

I got some white Rhino sprouts in 16oz pots and they keep burning up. I have narrowed it down to the FFOF. I mixed a small bag of perlite in a standard bag of FF. My question is...can i add more perlite and repot to lighten up the FF or do I need some seedling starter. I am a newbie when it comes to soil. I am just trying to establish some mums. Thanks for any help. :joint:

start them in peat. IF your gunna keep em in the pots you start them in then put a 3 inch layer of peat ontop of your foxfarms.

hope this helps

Yes, you can dilute the soil with perlite to avoid burning your plants.
However, I would buy some seedling starter soil and mix it 50/50 with your FFOF and then add your regular amount of perlite to the soil. This will keep them from drying out too quickly as they tend to do in a perlite-rich medium.

Peat can be quite acidic, I´ve had good luck using vermiculite and potting soil -about 30% vermiculite.
