Spring 2024 Grow: Double Grape and HBSS from Mephisto

I do two runs a year, and this is first half, 2024, now just wrapping up. This grow, I did autos for the first time, phD my water for the first time, and paid more attention to good nutes. I also grew one of the autos outside. That was a first, too.

I have one Double Grape and one Hubbabubbasmelloscope inside under 1000 watt HPS. Both are on Day 70 from germination and should be due in a week or so, I think.

My outside Double Grape was odd. It stunted early but then hit it's stride. It didn't flower on time, though. The indoor sister flowered on Day 29, but outdoor DG flowered on ~Day 45. It's now 42 inches high, 37 inches wide, right in my front garden, and getting conspicuous.

Some pics, and a short movie on the outdoor gal.

Happy growing!

Hey, sorry for the late reply. I use pH Up and Down now. I measure using their kit and then adjust. Once I figured out my tap water is always high, I bought the pH Down in bigger volume! :) I tried growing without pHing my water for a while -- it was sub-optimal. :) Good luck!

Sharing some pics of my current indoor Double Grape (Mephisto) which is on Day 86 since germ. She will be getting chopped very soon, as there are zero amber and I'm a head high kind of dude.

Next to her is another Meph strain, Hubbabubbasmelloscope, which has about a week to finish.

The third and last plant is the outdoor Double Grape. She was germed with the first one, in mid-May, but she took her sweet time to flower -- and she is HUGE. 41 inches high, 37 wide. Will share pics on this thread in a few days.

She sits in my front garden on a rolling platform I rigged up. A weed dolly. She goes in every night and out every morning. I want her 100 percent sungrown here in Oregon. :)

I guess the purple hues in this DF must be in the genetics. In the last few weeks, the tent temps were ranging from 88 to 62, so that may have done it. I fed her very well, even though most told me that autoflowers don't need much.

I am a very novice grower. This is the first time I ever began pHing my grow water. I wanted to get a feel for how necessary that step is. :) It makes a huge difference, btw.

I aim for two runs a year, and I am just getting my indoor Fall crop going now – two Laughing Buddha and two Amnesia Lemon, both from Barney’s Farm. All less than a week old, all in my mancave being loved.
