these leaves r driving me mad :bashhead:

coco fiber, under flouro with good wattage per sf, temps 75 humidity 50 and a bit cooler and more humid at night, good air circulation, nutrients are house and garden coco nutes at appropriate levels for the plants growth stage, not root bound with healthy root growth on all the plants. had a few mites nibble some lower leaves last week, irradicated the mites, other than that pest free. All of my other strains appear fine, except this one. It has this from about 2 weeks veg until harvest, on multiple plants of all different ages.. any ideas?

thank you

when you say multiple plants you mean clones right?

did you foliar spray with anything? where is your light related to that plant?

mexilandrace, thx for reply.

Yes multiple clones, these arent seedstock but cloned from a mother plant. The mother, clones 2 weeks+ in age, vegetative plants about 1' high, and plants from 2 weeks bloom to harvest time all show the same symptoms. Only on this one variety however, I have several strains running at the moment and they look great, especially when compared to this strain.

I do foliar feed twice a month, usually when I do a preventative spray for pests, some plants that hadnt been foliar sprayed show the same symptoms.

The plants are at a safe distance from the light (2-4"from flouro, 6-12" from a 400 mh, or 1-2' from a 600hps)

Im thinking its some kind of p/k issue, i burned some plants real good once with some triple phos and they had results about 3x worse than this most even died due to the overdose in the soil.

if it is only the same genes, I am leaning towards the plants themselves.

If its all the same plant(clones) then I would really lean towards genetic.

looking at it, it's not consistent with much of anything, and really, some plants are just fucked up.

Have you grown that plant(clones) before?

I have a plant that grow similarly in veg, but it gets normal in flower so I keep her, cause the high is pretty neat.

Yeah I was thinking it was the genetics as well but I have run this strain for well over a year consistently with no issues at all, then all of the sudden it changed like this. Ive seen a few strains do this over time, some just change their growth characteristics, some for the better some for the worse

thanks for the input mexi!

its not chemical burn. it is either a light burn cause of foliar feeding and temps or you have the biggest mite problem ive ever seen.

in other words your spraying your leaves with water and ferts. it is beeding up on the leaves and the light is probly too close cause its causing glare on the beeded up spray and burning. kinda likev a sun burn.I am 100% sure of this.

your tellin me the plant in the pic is too close @ 4" away from a fluorescent light? thats just not possible.. Ive accidently had some grow into the fixture and touch the bulb and they didnt even get brown. The temps are *never* above 78 degrees.

I dont think it is foliar issue because:
its on all stages of the plant, even those which have never been foliar fed.
the other strains with folair feeding dont have this issue.
I foliar very rarely (2x month at most) with very low doses of supplements to correct the first sign of nute def. and dont use a complete or strong fertilizer formula to foliar feed.

are u using a wetting agent while foliar feeding? (aka soap or sumthin similar which allows the liquid to cover the wholeplant)

when do u foliar feed ? (best to do it when yur plants are off to sleep)

Have u got a microscope/magnifyer to check for pests?

Have u checked yur rootballs?

Best vibes

koolaid: thanks for droppin in,

are u using a wetting agent while foliar feeding?
I use a wetting agent when i foliar, i use a small amount of dawn dish soap as a a surficant.

when do u foliar feed ? (best to do it when yur plants are off to sleep):
I foliar feed right before they go to bed, about 30-1hour before so they have some time to dry off before it goes dark.

Have u got a microscope/magnifyer to check for pests?
"had a few mites nibble some lower leaves last week, irradicated the mites, other than that pest free" No pests as of now, and no fungus that i can see..

Have u checked yur rootballs?
"not root bound with healthy root growth on all the plants" Yep the roots look great..
