spots on my leaves

I've lost a couple of plants to what I think may be root rot. They are outdoors and planted in a bottom. Small brown spots appear on the leaves and grow larger. It's almost like the leaves are dying from inside out. They wilt all the way up the side-stems, only leaving a small cola at the end of the branch. Some of the branches have died altogether. Any idea what is causing this ?

Are they Rust Spot? I've had problems with rust spots many times before. You might want to see if they are rust spots. If that is the case, they have a few sprays you can use and will clear it up, but it could be alot of different things. Head over to OG and look there the FAQ on plant problems and they have a bunch of pictures. Try to match up your problem, or get close to you problem. Those pictures have helps me a ton.
Good Luck
