I am going to share with you how I do it
&
I hope this can work for some of you in a practical way

You will need some nice buds, king size papers and two filters


Roll up your filters as shown and split the paper in half




If you want you can leave a little bit of the filter sticking out as long as you make it kind'a fat...
The more big a'round the Mini joint, the better it burns IMHO

Pretty much exactly wut I do as well. I find a well rolled small spliff with great airflow via the rigid filter piece is quite the smoke! I used to wrap my papers around a small thin straw and make them toally straight then used a piece of like magazine cover for the filter part. Problem was even when there was like almost an inch of space between the filter and the cherry it still kinda burned and browned the filter which bothers me cause i dont like extra carcinogens thank you.

So I'm curious what are you using for filter's? Is it just rolling paper or have you found a better substitute?

Interesting fact, I made a gravity bong last week with a plastic straw yes i know dumb indeed, anyhow the straw did not show any signs of stress till I cut the opeing of the straw on an angle. The temperature of the straw was actually affected by the airflow design. Which is why a small straight spliff with airflow doesent get runs and the cherry isn't too big either.

Rolling a J is like doing dishes sometimes but the end result is much better.

no, it's actually what they sell as 'filter's' ... the come in a lil' pack.. some of then aready are serated so it folds for the inside real neat,nice light cardboard type of material...
...but I have found that magazine order inserts make really good substitutes if cut to the right size....

Hi Ms G. You suprise me, I thought you'd be rolling em as long as you could. In the uk we just vary the amount of tobacco we mix in to vary the strength. I always, and have always seen others, simply using the card board from the papers for the roach. It gets a little awkward after the 15th joint, and you have a net made out of cardboard holding the last few papers together, but I have a box for all the gubbins and parraphinalea, so its not too much of a problem. You could always buy regular papers though rather than the king size. Anyway, nice pics, nice tutorial, love these threads of yours. Just stopping in to say hi really.

Yep, I use smaller papers when rolling personal J's. If you're worried about chemicals coming off your filters, try these.

I use the organic hemp roaches as well and nope, no complaints! They roll up real nice.

Another thing that I like to do though, while we're talking about splitting joints, is roll up a classic, cig-style, roachless doobie, cut it in half, and smoke one half (or less) of the joint at a time in a glass cigarette bat with a screen placed carefully (chipped off one part of the top of mine , luckily it still smokes just fine!) inside the top 1/3 of the pipe. Makes great use of the weed as you're still smoking a conservative amount, and you have the benefit of the glass pipe as well. I get VERY high off half of a joint using this method.

No Tobacco in my Joints, mini or not! YucKy! been quit 2 years now.

uhhhmmm, not me... kind'a picky there too but good that you have a system that works for you, hun...

You could always buy regular papers though rather than the king size.

I stuff my weed right to the end of my mouthpiece. My joints have no filters in them except weed. If I roll a rizla or a rayo paper well enough(And they are super thin I might add) I never have to add support to it.

Me and my old lady have been enjoying split jay's for a while now She got tired of seeing me toss out half smoke joints....cause I am like you, why would I want to smoke a stale roach when I have tasty clean herbs in the jar... I love smoking J's, but have a hard time finishing a whole one by myself (and still functioning the way I need to throughout the day). I do it a bit different than you tho...I have a king size roller that I use. I put a filter in each side of the J before the roll...then I roll her up and split it, post roll...works just the same

OR...I have also used spacers to help roll smaller doobs...torn off cigarrette filters make for great spacers when using the machines.
