Nice size, but you don't want to go by size, want to go by how healthy they are and how happy. Those are happy plants, even though with the little problem you got going.

THat depends on the strain, your leaves are fatter, which means more indica which you will have a semi bushy plant, not overly tall, unless you make them stretch lol.

What yield are you looking to get and what size flowering space you got going for these gals?
How much light flowering stage and how much sq feet is your grow space flowering chamber?

Thanks for the reply Stitch

Strains are definitely heavy on the indica, White Castle, Northern Lights and Bela Ciao

I am limited to 6 flowering plants and I am hoping to get at least 2 oz each off of them so 3/4 pound total.

Flowering space will be same as veg space, 5' wide x 10' long x 7.5' high and because of budget constraints I will be using my Sunleaves 4' 8 tube T5 fluoros and I am adding 4 2700k 64w CFLs. Info about the CFLs here

Stitch - Your opinion would be a blessing

Stitch - Your opinion would be a blessing

I was really glad to see that you have a book out, how wonderful is that. I bought one of course.

I am a newbie at this but I have studied hydroponics on the internet for a couple of months. What is happening is that I believe on week two of veg I over nuted my garden. Got a little excited, oh well... The plants were were showing fading and curling down at the tips which later crept up the perimeter of leaves as the pictures shows. I dumped the nute water and installed 15 gallons of new RO water (three days ago). I added no nute to the new water. I flushed the system by pumping the new water up the drain doing an manual ebb and flow. I did this a couple of times a day instead of the normal watering schedule. The ppm went from 50-550ppm the first flush. 900ppm after the second day of flushing and now day # 3 the water is 1200ppm. The plants look better than did three days ago but the tips are still curled under and the color looks on the light side. I have given a week solution of nutes by hand to see if that would tell me any thing but have not seen a big difference.

Thank you for all the information you share and the big heart you share it with.

Ok, no offense to you konish, please don't take this the wrong way,but your post sounds like a complete joke, not to mention how can you post pictures?? NO ONE with a post count of 1 can post pictures in a post yet, you gotta have more posts, unless your count was removed by admin or a mod..... either way the conclusion is it's BS. You could also have them hot linked to another site, but those are not hot linked, those are directly from your ICMAG gallery. New members have to always post to there gallery first or hot link to show pictures until they get a higher post count.

Not to mention I have never heard of someone watering there plants for 1 hour 4 times a day. Even new growers who never picked up a hydroponic book or even read about it, has never went that excessive.

Hydroton does not hold nutes either......
So....... are we that bored that you can't find anything better to do?

Ro water ppms do not rise without adding anything to it, unless your RO water system is busted or not properly maintained.

hey stitch, hope all is well. Just wanted to let you know you were totally right (duh) about the light intensity burning the leaves. Did an experiment with one of the gk's I had pollinated with the males and then have been growing outside of the box as not to pollinate everyone else. the day after i put her in the top fan leaves burned up. this girl is smaller than the others were. I clipped my other plants down about 6 inches. The tops seem pretty done anyways and I'm giving the bottoms a little more light to mature. So weird that some strains would be more light sensitive than others. the sour d's are a good 6 inches taller and therefore closer to the lights and no probs with them? Oh well just wanted to say thanks again you are a life saver.

Stitch wow are you kidding ?

Stitch wow are you kidding ?

I had a really hard time posting the pics but i didn't know I couldn't. I know ppm don't rise if nothing is added but the truth is that their was nothing added to the RO water. I was thinking what was left in the bottom of the 2 gallon ebb & flow type of bucket I am using made the ppm climb. I don't mean to bother you or anything like that. I am using a drip ring from the top with a two gallon two bucket ebb & flow design (originally). Buy your comment it sounds like I am watering to much. The RO water I am using is 12ppm. I also notice that my PH rise from 5.8 to 6.2-6.4 every other day and has to be adjusted with GH PH down. I am just wanting your gracious opinion as this is my first Hydro experience...... No Joke

Stitch -
Help please!
I have notice in last few days that the tips of the larger plants, two of them are turning brown and crispy just at the tips. I moved the light further away and is now 19" from the edge of the Adjust a wing. I don't think it was too close because some of the secondary growth hidden under the shade leaves are also turning brown and crispy at the tips. Thank you

I sent you a message on your profile and said I was sorry, I also asked if you still needed help and it seems you do :O)

Are you still adding just plain water? What ppms is your run off now? after you flush?

I put Put in new RO water PBP, Karma, Aquashield and Calmag at 5ml per gallon. 1200 PPM and 6.0 PH.
PH would then climb every other day to 6.2 and I would have to adjust it to 5.8-6.0. After 6 days it was at 2000 ppm having to correct the PH every other day. dumped 7 of the 15 gallon in the res. and added new RO water. 1000ppm good PH.Added nutes to bring it up to 1200ppm. After 5 days PPMs climbed again and I did the same thing all over again. My sense is that the residual water left in the buckets is playing a role. They don't look real bad they cold look a lot better. I really want to master my new hobby.

How much pH adjuster are you having to use?

Dude, your nutrients you are using is excessive, your hitting them with way too much, use one product and one micronutrient, until you get the hang of thnigs, your frying your plants worse than what meat would be fryed at :(

Sounds like you are using nutrients to adjust your pH are you adding more nutrinets to bring the pH down?

Are you sure your meter is not broke ? Use fresh calibration solution?
what kind of buckets are you using?
WHat color?

Do youi check your ppms after you add more pH adjuster, before and after:
?

How often are you checking your tds and pH?

Water temps?

How much pH adjuster are you having to use? Bought small GH dry PH up and down. Don't use much. I mix a week solution.

Dude, your nutrients you are using is excessive, your hitting them with way too much, use one product and one micronutrient, until you get the hang of thnigs, your frying your plants worse than what meat would be fryed at : Good to know thanks.

Sounds like you are using nutrients to adjust your pH are you adding more nutrinets to bring the pH down? I don't use nutes to adjust PH

Are you sure your meter is not broke ? Use fresh calibration solution?New meter calibrated with fresh solution.
what kind of buckets are you using? E&F 2 gallon black
WHat color?

Do you check your ppms after you add more pH adjuster, before and after: Before and after. PH adjuster does not affect PPM hardly at all.
?

How often are you checking your tds and pH? daily

Water temps? 78f

I just opened a new pack of PPM check solution and my meter was reading about 400PPM to high. I think I will buy a more accurate meter.
