SPINPRO TRIMMER Review

Well i was in between the spinpro and the trimbox. I decided to go with the spinpro. I got mine for 589.00 free shipping. I wont be able to use this for a couple of months but i will be updating with pics when the girls are done. I will also be giving my opinion on the unit how it works how easy it is to clean and durability.

First off the package was ordered Tuesday and arrived in 4 days which i thought was rather fast. Also it came in a discrete package.

There was not a whole lot to do to put the unit together. It was basically two bowls and screen and two screws.

It took me less than 3 minutes to put together.

Like i said if anyone is interested i wll post pics up while i clean my girls sometime in October. So check back then if you want to see pics of the unit in action.

Worked ok tonight was the first night i used it. From the time i cut the plant down to the time i was cleaning up it took me roughly 20 minutes. This job would have taken around 3 to 4 hrs before so it did its job i guess.

What did the buds turn out like? Were you using it on a few big fat buds or a number of small fluffy ones?

Thanks for the pictures. After playing with one of those machines at the hydro show, I thought it might just mash up small fluffy buds. It looks like they came out OK.
Take care of your back.

keep this going, im curious to see how this thing works, did you like the results you got, did you still have to go back over the plants alot, do you think this product would be good to use with a 2 lbs

I have one of these on the way right now. Here is a good video demonstration by Remo of the device.

It goes under a few different names, handytrimmer is one of them. All the information I could find is postive. I have seen some threads where 2 people did 8.5 pounds in about 10 hours, with breaks, eating, smoking, goofing off. My girlfriend practically made me order this, we hate trimming small shit. My colas will get her love, shes a hairstylist.

All systems are go!!!

Nice thread, I'm considering one because I can't stand trimming popcorn, and am working on a case of carpal tunnel, lol. Thanks for the pics, I was wondering how bad it'd beat up the trichs. From the looks of the pic, not bad at all!

PureKnowledge, ya know, I never thought of that... <runs off to find a hot cannabis-friendly hairstylist> :D

Just curious if it is better to use wet or dry material. Many pics and video seem to show wet. Would it destroy dry popcorn?

Looks like a great investment, after my eight plants took my brother and I about eight hours this weekend. I likely could have done it in 2 with that thing. They look well trimmed as well.

At the first look of the chamber , then the finished product, it looks like it bounces around in the chamber with the screen keeping it above the blades.

Trimming sucks. My old lady once said to me when looking for a job, to bad i cant put professional trimmer on my resume.Ha.... .

Just bought her the garden groomer, $100. ,some small mods and its not to far from the trim pro concept. Atleast it seems that way anyways. Soon enough i'll know. Trimming sucks, hours then days pass.

And yetti, wet i would say would work best...

Still, $590 for a hand operated trimmer. hows it work on bigger colas? Even if it was electric powered. i dont like the idea of throwing a cola in there and not actually supervising/ assisting, or seeing how much it cut the leaves off, knowing when it done or its cut enough off. But hey ,, i could b wrong.

What about a 8 inch cola in here....

You are supposed to use wet nugs.

I will be using one of these next harvest, as trimming sucks, even with good company. It seems as though the biggest concern is not being able to see your flowers while trimming, for 5 bills or $450 if you have MMJ card, you can get the clear top trimmer on ebay. search for "magic trimmer" or http://cgi.ebay.com/CLEAR-DOME-bud-...emQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3a538d5204

I do not profit from this in anyway, just thought it was a good deal and wanted to share it with IC. If anybody feels I should delete this post PM me and it will be done. Karma, One Love

They work great. I have friends using them and they are doing about a pound per hour. That is dry weight. Of course the herb needs a little clean up after it is dry but very little. Trim Scene sells it for $520 and they sell the new Spin Pro Powermatic. Same thing but with a motor. Similar to the Trim Reaper but a lot less money. I have also heard of people running dry bud through them but I wouldn't recommend it.http://trimscene.com/Spinpro.html These small trimmers really are amazing and they are a real game changer for the small grower. The ones with the clear dome get so coated in resin after the first couple of uses that you can't see through them so there is no point in getting that one. I have heard that you can put them in your dishwasher to clean them.

I've got a Spin Pro on the way and I can't wait!

Humboldtlocal,
do you recommend spraying these with pam cooking spray as well? Think it'll help with cleanup?

I have not used one myself but you could give it a try. I spray my Twister blades down with oil but I wipe clean any parts that touch buds. I will ask my friends that are using them. I would put it in the dishwasher. You can spray any build up with WD-40 and let it soak in, as long as you wash it off afterwards. I am sure I will get flamed for that last comment but it should work great and if you wash it off what is the big deal. I was using Pam on my machine but just switched to spray on olive oil. Much better lube.

WD-40?!?!?!??!?! Lol, no flames. ;) I would try using alcohol myself...

Is alcohol so much better than WD-40? Would you rather smoke that? If you are washing it off what is the big deal. I have been hearing that the Trim Reapers are making buds smell terrible if you don't clean them before using them.
