High humidity does help as long as you are in veg; flowering.... forget about it; high humidity invites mold, PM and bud rot...

You can also use high humidity but also use other things besides high humidity.......

read this link for more information..... best spider mite link around.

3 options that I know are effective -
1. Safers brand insecticidal soap

2. order lady beetles

3. Mist with a garlic, salt, and dish soap solution below

2 teaspoons garlic
1 teaspoon salt
1 drop of dish soap
Mix these ingredients into a liter of water. Mix well. Refridgerate overnight. DO NOT STIR AGAIN! Then the next day pour the top 3/4 (750mil) of the cold solution into a spray bottle. Pour the bottom 250ml of the solution down the drain. Spray the plants with the solution in the bottle immediately while the solution is still cold.

Repeat with the same cold solution in 24-48 hours. It kills and repels the spider mites.
