buy some predator incects and if you are not into flower too far you could neem them very every 3-4 days take em in the shower with a sprayer and drown thos lil bastards in neem if you miss any spots under leaves they will hang on really spray them hard with sprayer pumped up to high pressure and spray the whole plant .Dont use a cheap pump bottle the kind you pump up will work way better .do the neem before you release the good bugs if you do go that route
What ever you decide to do stick with it they are persistant lil bugs and will bounce back when you think youve won the war
Been many years since the borg have visited here since we gave in and hung no pest strips
Good luck

Clean the entire room with bleach as you said and set off a fooking bug bomb on the little bastards!!! :bat: Once you are fully clean, I would suggest making sure you have plenty of air flow around the bottom of your canopy ... put a nice fan under the canopy to move lots of air(they hate wind). I also use neem oil mixed with penetrator as a preventative thoughout the entire veg stage ... I even spray 'em a week and 1/2 into 12/12, but that's just me. Best of luck with those cursed, worthless critters!!!

Mite Eradicator
http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=18473&page=1&pp=15

Includes a lot of history on the borgs. Any eggs will hatch in 10 days, so theoretically you should be egg-free in a couple weeks or so. The problem with this is if any do hatch, the cycle adds to the original schedule. Really critical to kill the live ones AND destroy their eggs.

Mite survival parallels that of a cockroach - they genetically learn chemical treatments and the next generation becomes immune to it. Search out natural organic treatments, they can't arm themselves against naturally occurring elements that are poisonous to their system or destructive to their breeding process.

See ya in chat........... :woohoo:

you need to wait till you feel that you really cleaned uo your room good. the eggs can have to be killed or they will come back in 4 days or even weeks later.

you need to use hot water and bleach and scrub the walls floors ect really good. or you will always have mites. And keep an eye on your plants daily.

Not to hijack or anything but where do these little basterds come from? are they carried in on clones from another garden? Or do they just stumble into your garden one day and the battle is on from there?

Sounds to me like I would clean that space again Kusherberry. And make sure that they are toast. Then get yourself some ladybugs to hang out in the garden from that point on.

Im lucky where im at. We seem to have lady bugs out the wazzu, hell you couln't get rid of them if you wanted to.

Good luck

20kw dreams

I'll tell you what. If you got them once, you'll get them again. I don't worry about getting them, just learn how to keep them under control in the first place. In fact, sometimes I think it's easier if I just have them, so don't worry about getting them.

Just so you know, I had mites eradicate a 24 kw grow one time, so I do not take them lightly in the slightest. I have however found that "managing" pests is easier then trying to completely kill them, as they, or something else will eventually get back in. This is the natural way of things. If you get in the bad habit of tearing down your room and scrubbing the walls, you are setting yourself up for alot more work then it is worth, as they will be back anyways.

It is important to develop an Integrated Pest Management System.

Go ahead and pop your beans now. Dip them in neem when they are 2 weeks old, roots and all.

Continue spraying until weeks 5-6 using organic pesticides, switching between safer soaps, safergro pestout(garlic, clove, and cottonseed oil), neem, and whatever else you feel comfortable spraying with. This is important, as mites will develop resistance rather quickly.

Spray the walls every once in a while with whatever you feel comfortable with.

Increase the size of your intake, and cover with a filter($15). Get a nice filter, and it will keep Powdery mildew spores out as well.

THUROUGHLY Check your plants weekly. This means have a hand lens, and carefully check ANYTHING that looks out of the ordinary.

Be on the lookout alwaysI also use organics, for the most part, but if I find anything on the leaves, like mites or mildew, then I may spray something tougher, like pyrethrin on those leaves, being careful to keep whatever it is away from the buds, by blocking overspray with my hands.

Especially clean and check around the top lip of your pots. The little buggers will hide there.

Neem and Quarantine incoming plants. Even if you get some clones which look good, there may be some eggs on them. Give new plants 2 weeks for eggs to hatch, checking every few days.

Soul rebel was right on about wind, but there is a drawback to that which many people do not know about. Alot of wind causes exessive transpiration in the leaf. This slows plant growth due to closure of the stomates. It can also dry up the tissue on the serrates and tips of leaves, causing symptoms resembling Potassium deficiency and salt damage (a.k.a. tip burn). The reason I say this is just keep it to a light breeze, not a gale force wind, which many will argue strengthen stems, but so does Silicone and a light breeze....end rant

what else can help.....of course!

Alot of Nitrogen encourages mites. This sounds odd, but it does. It makes your plants very succulant, and easy for thier little mouths to penetrate. If you have really succulent eaves, and stretchy green stems, then adjust your mix for more P and less N, just a little bit at a time.

And at the same time I would say, a healthy plant will resist pests and disease much better then an ill one. In fact, pest succeptablity is the first sign of a nutrient deficiency. That is to say, a pest will take advantage of a nutrient deficiency before it will show up on leaves. Another indicator of plant health before physical signs is nutritional value, but you would need a tissue analysis.....which is had to get for pot...trust me, I've tried...

This is a big one. Seperate plants which get pests first. There are 2 reasons for this. First, it will give you plants to watch to see how your pest controls are working, and see if they may be developing immunities or not. These plants work best, as the populations are most likely the highest, as they had the past first. Second, some plants just attract bugs more then others. I don't know why, and I have talked about horticulturalists about this, and noone knows why really. Some plants just attract and like to be infested with bugs. If you have a plant like this, it will be like the bugs never seem to go away on that plant, when thye go away ont he rest. Kill these plants as soon as you have that suspision.

And last, strains. Some strains get critters worse then others. I just try and avoid these ones. It's like they have a "Hey mites, come eat me" gene or Powdery mildew gene built into thier program..

I guess that's it.

Peace
