Sprays, wash them if possible.
As an example there are 50 clones suffering from thrips. They are rooted, 6" tall, and in peet plugs. Mix water, neem oil, and plain dish soap (1-5 drops) in a bucket. One at a time completly submerge and shake or rub them, without hurting them.

Another example is spraying them with something recommended from your local hydro store. Spraying several times a day with plain water and running a fan on them will make there life harder to regain a strong foot hold.

Has anyone tried using 50/50 ISO alcohol and water with a few drops of dish soap ? if so how would you use it. spray and let it sit a while 2-3 hours and then rinse / submerge very well afterwards. These little bastards are doing some heavy duty damage.
Thank you Skipload and p-man2006200

Alchohol mix...... this measure would have success with molds and bacterias(dishsoap?alchohol is water soluble). Im guessing your trying to find what you have around right now.
Spray bottle and make it rain. drench the tops and bottoms. You said there are two lines, make a third one, lining up to jump out of your relentlessly raining garden.

Yerba: the key here is to retain your plants and at the same time eliminate the threat.

If you have flowering things....put the kibosh on them. They won't do anything except exacerbate the problem.

Focus on your mother plants instead. If you have clones that are infected, they'll have to get the axe also.

You need to go 1 of 2 routes: 1) "Control": This is using things like what was suggested above, as well as safer soap, capsaicin, neem oil, etc. You can lower the temperature near the plants to reduce the metabolic rate of the mites...thereby slowing their growth and reproduction rates. Keeping air flow will curtail their ability to make web bridges from plant to plant also. Biological predators like "ladybugs" and "spider mite predators" are helpful to control but not elminate your problem. 2) "Eliminate": This is the no bullsh*t method of doing these f*cks in....you'll need something heavy duty like "Doctor Doom" spray or Floramite....my personal favorite and ultimate suggestion is "AVID". It is specifically designed to kill mites...totally eliminate them. I've NEVER heard of a proper application of "Avid" NOT killing everything in site......

I had the worst problem about 2 years back.....I couldn't get a handle on things...I tried nearly everything in the "control" list...but they kept coming back. I had people say that all you can really hope to do is control them...there's no way to eliminate them. After doing some research, it became apparent that Avid would be the closest thing to a solution I might obtain. I did some searches on the internet, found a distributor and got some post haste. I read all the precautions (because it's an industrial pesticide with serious health risks) and applied it accordingly.

3 applications later....NO MITES....nada...zip...nothing. The plants NEVER LOOKED HEALTHIER.

Of course I didn't want to consume or combust anything that had been exposed to this kind of substance immediately....so I waited a few generations of Mom--->Clone---->Mom----->Clone....before I finally decided to flower out.

That's my suggestion. You can try all the methods of control...and I have heard of isolated cases where people had successfully eliminated their problem by using those methods....but for really persistent and large infestations.....control is merely that....

Avid does the job. You have to be responsible, cautious and dilligent in the use of it...but it will work....guaranteed. Of course there are individuals here that would frown upon the use of such a heavy pesticide....and it's perfectly understood why. Sometimes extreme methods are necessary to accomplish the task at hand.

My friend who also has a room of his own....has clones of mine that were infected from that time....he has successfully "controlled" his infestation by manipulating temperature and spraying with neem.....but when he gets lazy...the problem spirals back out of control. I've told him time and time again to clean up the whole shabang...but he insists that he can accomplish what I have without the heavy chemicals.

To date...I haven't seen that happen.

Good luck M8.

You don't say whether you are in veg or flower, if in veg or very early flower try floramite, stuff extincted them for me.

No pest strips have always worked for me. No spraying or applicating, just throw it in your grow area and watch the fuckers die. Easily available at home depot, probably walmart too.

Yes. Floramite = Spider Mite Extinction. Check ebay for a smaller bottle, grabbed one there and have no problems now. Cant use late in flower though.

Floramite and daily spraying on the plants have controlled the spider mites thanks to everyone for your help. Now I have to let the moms grow out new fresh healthy foliage so I can take cuttings.
