here are some pics of blubonic from sol seeds-pics taken after 12 days of drying and 62 days of curing-plants were taken PREMATURE due to bud rot-story on that later......enjoy
Ive finally found some blubonis pics and they look awesome - dense and frosty just like mom used to make
I am currently growing the blubonic for the first time - any tips? expectations for dry weight and potency? sensitivity to nutes? Any advice to make my nugs look like that would be great
damn those nugs look so tight and they are covered in trichs all over!!! what did you grow those with man?? awesome job. sorry bout the bud rot but they turned out damn fine.
lowlifer- i was trying to find any info i could on these the entire time i was growin- it drove me nuts!!!
first tip is this- keep the humidity down
2nd tip- keep the humidity down
seem very sensitive-very dense. i used full strength canna the entire schedule until about 15 days before i thought i would harvest-turned out to be longer. i cut them with very little amber in trichs at 70 days. if not for rot, i think they could have gone another 7-14 days. i do not know if this is strain specific- or possibly due to the canna fertilizer i use. i question this because other strain i used canna with<atomic nl> went over 70 days before any amber showed up in trichs. if anyone reading this has similar experience, please let me know.
they grew quickly and strong- can get very large
had two main phenos in the six seeds<2 male> first pheno was tall with long full buds- some foxtail development<courtesy im sure of the wonderful dj short influence> second pheno< 1 plant> was half the height of the other, heavy, heavy foxtail, purple in the inside center of colas and at the tips, and a little heavier yield per branch. all had very heavy trichs. look for smoke report soon. any questions-ask anytime subrob
lowlifer-as far as yield- well i lost most, but depending on your setup and technique- these plants could yield up to 4 oz. if grown large indoors. i used a 600 hps for bloom- and two six inch rockwool cubes<stacked> per plant. one pheno were 4 ft tall and would have yielded 3 to 4 oz each, and second pheno 2.5 feet and would have yielded 2 to 3. if SOG look for 2nd pheno
Those nugs are niiiiice! I have been looking at the new SOL seeds and trying to pick 1 or 2 to order for next year sometime, those look like winners for sure. Great job man
thx for the info subrob, its much appreciated.
SOL site says flower time is 60-80 days so cutting at 70 days seems reasonable. I haven't dealt with budrot yet (thankfully) but maybe that slowed the trich development at the end or maybe it does need the full 80 days. Hopefully i'll be able to let you know when my ladies mature - there stiil vegging at 7 weeks from germination. Do you know what your humidity levels were when you got the rot?
evergreen-thanks for the tip, i knew it was down, hadnt checked in awhile.
supernuck-thanks man-ive only grown one of his strains-but smoked plenty-always great!good luck choosing<just throw a couple darts at his list!>
lowlifer-im stoked to see how yours comes out! my hum. levels were at high 60's for three weeks during a heat wave we had here, and a couple days it peaked in the 70's. as for time, man i wouldnt care if these took 80 days. i wish i could have waited- 10 days can make a big differance in the quality of the high. i will def. be checkin out your updates man. i have a lot more pics of them while they were veggin and budding-they had fat colas!!!!!, but i cant load them due to improper format. anyone got any tips for a computer illiterate?
