Speedster wont control vortex?

bought speedster and it soesnt work on 6 or 8" vortex. I also bought a "dial a temp" and that cheap bastard works great i also ordered triac...does anyone know where i can get one with a photometric detector so it know when lights are on or off?

For a photoelectric switch i use http://www.acehardwaresuperstore.com/ace-button-style-photo-control-p-23289.html?ref=42 and instead of a speedstar try a Variac Variable AC PS/0.5KVA from http://www.circuitspecialists.com/prod.itml/icOid/7674. One great thing about the Variac is you will no longer get the HUM that a rheostat controller causes when throttling it down.

I've got a speedster set up on a 6inch Vortex, and it works fine..
I've used it (the speedster) on a 4inch Vortex, 6inch CanFan, and the 6inch Vortex with no problems..

I have a speedster running my 6 in. vortex as well.

I've got a few Speedsters on 6"ers and it works. The thing about the Speedster is that it's Chinese and doesn't work well, giving a very weird adjustment curve.

All Control Wizard Products gear is basically a knock-off of a decent product. They're part of Marco Industries, who also runs American Agriculture, BlackJack Soil Company, Vita Grow and a crap load of other entities. Ya get what'cha pay for.
