I am looking at different fans, and space is at a premium. I have seen a few oscillating pedestal fans that look interesting. Can anyone recommend any specific models? It is going in a 4x4 tent. I have just a regular larger $20 oscillating fan at the moment, and I can tell its gonna shit out any day now, and I could use all the extra space I can get. Any recommendations on how to keep air moving in there?

I bought an Air King at the local hydro store. It wasn't a pedestal kind but a wall mount. It has a hook type piece you can screw in with 2 screws. I used self-tapping metal screws and screwed it right into my 4x4 Grow Lab's tent poles directly. Then you hang the oscillating fan on the hook piece.
The Air King moved more air than a different cheaper brand they had. They are expensive fans but work well.
The 9016 (16") is good for a 4x4; I actually ran it on low most of the time. The 12" is too small for a 4x4, I used them in a ~3x3 tent though.
One problem I encountered was with too much negative pressure the walls of the tent sucked in and got in the way of the fan oscillating, but it's also a problem because it steals growing space from the tent, too.

are grow labs poles any thicker than the secret jardin? always wanted to put a wall mount oscillating in my tent, just didn't think it was possible. i guess you don't have to screw that far in? do you screw half way through the pole or all the way through?
I am putting up some secret jardin dr150 II right now and I am goint to take a 2x4, cut it to length, zip tie it to the pole, mount fan to 2x4. I use the 18" air kings, hopefully they fit lol.
In my tent I used clip on's like this one..This one is 7"

I used a 1/2" long self-tapping screw, it went through one side of the pole only. I also had some 7" clip on fans like Hammerhead and frankly I didn't think you could feel the air moving from the even a foot away (maybe it was just the brand I had, they were cheap).
Couldn't say if the secret jardin poles are same or different from GrowLab. Jardin is usually considered a higher end brand so I'd be surprised if the grow lab poles were thicker.

Yes it does they work great IMO...
okay im gonna look into that small holmes one i think.
If I do end up having to put the fan in there, I will use my table saw to cut a channel out in the middle of the 2x4, and put that over the tent pole. The 2x4 go to the floor, and I will have two supports coming off the bottom of it, at a 90degree angle, so it fits right into the corner.

You can do what you said before. Take a wall mount fan a small one 12" and strap it to one of the poles. This should work. I used the clip ones because they are easy to use and can be moved to any location when you need to..

I just ordered two of these fans for my new 3x3 tent. Haven't used them yet but the oscillating feature on such a small fan is very convenient! Plus they clip on so no drilling necessary
