South American Strains Circa 1970's

My gooooood friend is bringing me back some South American beans circa 1970's. They have been vaccum sealed and frozen since then..... I hope the germination ratio is good.... I hope hope hope some beans are Columbian Gold...... I have been told by all the old heads (45-60 years old)that the Gold was the best and most potet strain.... Most potet new strains have been derived from the Gold (Skunk, Haze). If I am able to re-invigorate the genetics of the new it would be great. I will keep you guys posted on how it goes.... I have been searching far and wide for viable seeds from south america from the 70's... I think I may have found them.... Even if the male female ratio isn't the best I will be able to get the classic genetics re-introduced into the cannabis family....

don't get me wrong I wish you nothing but the absolute best of luck but I'd be surprised if any germed.

I think they get a ten percent germ rate after 15 yrs or something similiar. and dramatically lower every year after that. I think I heard shanti say that once. or maybe rez.

but who knows. good luck.

KenBleu,

Best of luck on your gold project...have you seen Ace seeds Panama? Described to finish as red or green pheno. If I could get that rust red bud and earth nose that tasted like hash I would try this one...I've been wondering tho if the 70's gold and red we remember was as much the soil, climate and cure imparting as the strain itself. Best,
