I personally tell people not to order supplies that leave a papertrail to you. Lowes and Home depot have standard bulbs for under 20 dollars if that will get you by until you can go somewhere and get one. You can always keep it as a backup. I have used all kinds of bulbs and I now just use the cheap ones as I didnt notice any dfference in them
If you like the way your (local?) hydro shop runs, why don't you just have them mail you out a bulb?
Just thinking that if you do mail order, you'll HAVE to leave a paper trail, but as long as you trust that business more so than any other one you haven't dealt with, stick with them.
I don't see why they can't go to the post office and ship it out to you.
While you're at it, you could even propose to someone working there that if they meet you somewhere (close to your home...but not at it ), you can pay them cash and give them the same amount that they'd pay for postage.
well my point is i belong to some other "normal" organic forums with people who grew vegetables, herbs and flowers inside. HPS and MH are their light of choice also.
Always have spare bulbs!! Buy a new one after 3 grows---they put out less light with time, so replacing them is something youre going to have to do. Having a spare bulb is cheap crop insurance!
