Source for Gavita in Canada?

I was talking to the guy at my hydro store and apparently the Canadian distributor is in Mississauga but he can't seem to get a hold of them. A 600w MH is damn near impossible to find, let alone with the reflector built in.

I don't know why you want a mh bulb anyhow,most grow under hps ,thats why thats likely all you'll find. If you want mh why don't you suppliment with a 400 mh

Just want the MH for vegging and want to use it with a 600 digi-ballast. There are lots of successful MH flowerings too, but I agree, I would use it to supplement an HPS.

Anyways, just looking to source these elusive bulbs, I've seen knock-offs, but have heard really good things about the gavita's.

Anyone know if these will work with the purple lumatek ballasts? I had a silver one and it blew the gavita within a day. Now I have the purple lumatek and not sure if I can use the other gavita I have laying around.

Your local home grown hydroponics store should have it or be able to get it. Chrome dome is a comparable bulb as well. Ask the guy at the store which will work in that ballast if it doesn't work out he might make good on it, and the number for home grown is 1-800-info-gro.
