Sour Diesel S1 flowerin, start to finish

this S1 batch was made with light poisenin, plant was pulled mid flower and exposed to 36hrs of light and put back to flower. essentially skipped a lights out.

the cut used is the katsu SD, which was aquired a few years back. dont have much info on the cut. imo its a much better plant then the so called original, which is the original SD i havent a clue. the cut used here, hits harder then the skunky SD i have now, jolly rancher sour candy plant. cures to a very nice smoke.

i had let it go sometime back, but have it returnin here shortly.

so the S1s pictured here, are as stretchy as they come, easy 3x stretch. big ol fans, and pretty bushy/branchy. and did i mention they can stretch, lol.

first pic you can see the stretch, as the plants in the back went in a week earlier then the others. not much aroma as of yet.

all six plants are female at present, and there bein grown in the light leak spot, and they havent showed any male balls, which the current SD cut will right at the end of the stretch.

one plant i left untopped as it was a slow grower, and looked nice single cola.

Nice lookin' ladies there CBF. I also have a few S1's from the Katsu cut. Though I have to admit mine were from an unintentional light leak I had at the time.

None the less though, they may turn up something nice.

Spade, imagine your beans should produce the same as pictured here. pretty decent batch really, besides the crazy stretch, would should settle down from clone.

I don't think it matters if it's chemically or stress induced - both ways of making s1s are stress-related. I have had many s1 sour diesel beans in the past year, from stress and light leaks. gave most away, kept a few. I felt that since sd was already prone to stress, these would be even more so, and likely to hermie.

ive just had real good plants come from sts seeds and have
seen others have bad results using other feminization methods.
im just an sts fan



plus ive had hermies on the clone and never a seed.
ive run at least one per grow for years..
seems like others have got her to seed as well tho.

plants are at 6wks, and still freakin growin upwards. ive bent the tops over twice now to keep um under the lamp. very vigorous from seed.

there sativa dom plants and really get after it. kinda reminds me of the Dalat the way they go, and thick stalks. had heard how the SourD had mexican in it a few times. these plants sure do make a guy wonder. all the plants are like this, all sativa bud.







this plant was the slower to veg then all the rest. thought it might make it single cola, but it took a big jump and i took the top out.







this ones a bit leafier, but looks like it might be the big yielder. you can see the plant shot were the top is scorched, as she dove into the lamp.







not any aromas, which leads me to think there gonna go long

here they are at almost 11wks. all gettin harvested today. not a whole lot of aromas, and none are overly frosty.

this plant is one of the 2 yielders, pretty much your normal sativa lookin buds, lots of foxtails..........






this ones the best of the bunch as far as the bud it produced, good yield, and the bud is real tight, heavy









these last weeks i did spot some bananas on a few of um, of course the better yielders were sportin um, and the middle plant. the 2 non yielders were clean. not a whole lot of um, just a few in the tops.

I myself had a light leak and my Sour Diesel showed bananas and now some seeds .... I might try to pop some seeds in the future after reading your thread

thanks for showing them cbf. it's interesting to me how they showed so much variety. i grew out four unintentional S1s of a landrace x blueberry f1 and they all seemed pretty close copies, but diff than the original f1... maybe though your sd is some kinda polyhybrid?

did any of the s1's turn out better than the cut in your opinion?

hey all, havent smoked um yet. ill give each a try right off the vine dry and see if any are any good here in a few days.

Muddy, none of these are close to the cut i used(katsus SD from a few years ago) SD i have now is nothin like the plant i used to do these seeds. the one plant with the big tight bud yields better then the mother, but does not have the aromas.

there all much branchier, heavier plants then the mom, and much more sativa dom. very stretchy. the good yieldin plant is so tight, the bud is almost white on the inside. very tight sativa buds. best growin bud on a sally ive seen outta what ive grown.

hopefully one of um is a good smoke, im prayin of course the phat gal is a good one

weell the first 3 plants i tried after a hang, are pretty dissapointin, not any thing to even say other then they suck, hehe.

dont imagine the other 2 will be any better, as they have no aroma other then dead grass/hay. a really crappie bunch of plants.

my buddy that still has the cut, has been workin a Diesel Kush he did with it for sometime now. should have it back soon, but wont be doin anything with it. the SourHaze cross i did with it turned out pretty decent, but selfin that cut didnt work for me. may have been the way i did the self, i dont know.

the sour cut i have now, ive done a strawberry sour with males from the screme line, and did a SD X Grapefruit usin woodhorses grapefruit for there site. havent gotten to lookin at um yet.

anyway, as they say "shit happens" another wonderful learnin experience makin seed
